IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. In another sign of the times for retail, Lowe's is closing 51 North American stores.The home improvement chain said Monday that locations are underperforming and the decision will help the hardware chain focus on its most profitable stores and "improve the overall health of its store portfolio."Lowe's (LOW) is shutting down 20 stores in the U.S. and 31 in Canada. The company said that a "majority" of the shuttered stores are within 10 miles of another Lowe's location.The stores will be closed before Feb. 1, 2019. The company will try to find jobs at nearby stores for its employees affected by the closings."We believe our people are the foundation of our business and essential to our future growth," said CEO Marvin R. Ellison.Lowe's is struggling to keep up with its larger rival Home Depot. Ellison, who joined the company in May, has already made some big strategic decisions, including closing all of its Orchard Supply Hardware stores and slashing inventory at its Lowe's stores.The company cut its sales and profit outlook for the year. (KGTV) -- Several people were taken into Border Patrol custody early Monday morning after a panga boat washed ashore in Imperial Beach.At around 3:30 a.m., Border Patrol agents and sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to an area near Seacoast Drive and Encanto Avenue after a panga boat was reportedly spotted on the beach.ABC 10News learned agents took about 20 people -- believed to be undocumented migrants -- into custody.Agents and deputies fanned out to search the area for more boat passengers, but there was no immediate word on additional arrests. 585

But if you look hard enough - something else is trying to take over.Limebike is a tech company that deals in two wheels.It's been a busy week for Colin McMahon, a manager at Limebike."On Friday we started rolling them out through all the weekend and now we are up to 200 bikes through operations," McMahon said.Limebike's mobile app is launching in Imperial Beach, its eighth city."A lot of curiosity so almost every time we brought a bike out of the truck people were asking what is this bike how does it work," McMahon said.Riders download the app, enter their credit card number and scan the back of the bike they want to ride.Even 4th grader, Jacquin Hallaway, can figure it out."I think it's fun that you can like rent a bike," Hallaway said.Unfortunately, not everyone has been behaving with the bikes.Someone in Seattle stuck one on a power pole but don't count out San Diego's shenanigans."There was one that was thrown off the pier.
