BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- China and Bangladesh on Thursday pledged better parliamentary cooperation.

Xi said he and U.S. President Barack Obama are determined to build a new model of major-country relationship, adding that his visit, guided by the consensus, achieved fruitful results with new, important progress in such areas as investment, people-to-people exchanges, climate change, and coordination and cooperation in multilateral affairs.

Zhang Xiangchen, Chinese deputy international trade representative and assistant minister of commerce, told reporters in June that "the negative list issue is more difficult for China," as it "represents a new challenge" and will "fundamentally change the foreign investment administration regime in China."

"China is ready to set up a high-level joint dialogue mechanism with the United States on fighting cyber crime," he added.

He reaffirmed his country's stance that China's peaceful development will have a positive influence on the world.
