TERRE HAUTE (AP) — The U.S. government has executed a former soldier who said an obsession with witchcraft led him to kill a Georgia nurse he believed had put a spell on him. William Emmett LeCroy is the sixth federal inmate put to death this year at the U.S. prison in Terre Haute. Before that, there had been a 17-year hiatus without any federal executions. Lawyers had asked President Donald Trump in a petition to commute LeCroy's sentence for killing Joann Lee Tiesler in 2001. TEMECULA, Calif. (KGTV) - U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a man Sunday on suspicion of smuggling more than 143 pounds of methamphetamine on Interstate 15 in Temecula. Agents pulled over the Ford F-150 near the Border Patrol checkpoint at 9:15 p.m. A K-9 unit alerted agents during an exterior search. A secondary inspection led to the discovery of 33 bundles of meth inside the wood paneling, officials said. The drugs had an estimated street value of 0,640. During the hearing, the judge and attorneys were interrupted several times with people shouting racial slurs, playing music and showing pornographic images.Seventeen-year-old Graham Clark is accused of using the hijacked Twitter accounts to scam people around the world out of more than 0,000 in Bitcoin.The accounts included Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Elon Musk. Prosecutors believe Clark got access by convincing a Twitter employee he was a coworker. He faces numerous charges including 17 counts of communications fraud and 11 counts of fraudulent use of personal information.Clark was arrested Friday and entered the not-guilty pleas Tuesday.The judge denied a motion to reduce Clark's bond.
