Residents of the San Diego neighborhood say the city is turning their community into a "homeless ghetto" - and it's time for it to stop. Tuesday night a group gathered outside the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, calling on the city to provide "fair distribution of homeless services across San Diego.""It's unbelievable what the mayor and the City Council are doing to this area," said Father John Auther. The priest pointed to a map, asking why a nearly 370 square mile city is putting most of the homeless services in a one-quarter square mile. Father Auther says the concentration of services goes beyond the residents of Barrio Logan. It's bad for the homeless community, too. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Marine biologists and other experts are at Fiesta Island Tuesday morning to try to determine what caused the death of a large whale.The gray whale was discovered by lifeguards on the shore of Blacks Beach Monday at about 11 a.m.The dead whale was eventually towed from the Torrey Pines area to Fiesta Island, arriving at 3:30 p.m.Officials with the National Marine Fisheries were called to Fiesta Island to perform a necropsy.After Tuesday's examination, the whale is expected to be transported to the Miramar Landfill.  552

It’s unethical,” he tells us during a disguised sit-down interview. 10News is not publishing his name, face or voice. He fears losing his badge for breaking his silence.“It’s a reward system. A bounty system for officers seeking rewards for their arrests,” he tells us.10News was provided a copy of an internal email that was sent last week from a sergeant to more than 90 officers. It states that the program is being instituted in the Southern Division and is strictly voluntary.
