A scary moment happened for parents and young kids when a fight broke out at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club near Lindell Road and Edna Avenue in Las Vegas.It's not clear yet how it all started but from the video, it appears that a number of adults were involved. But what concerns parents most is there were a lot of young children, even babies in the audience when the fight started. What seemed like a heated argument turns into a fistfight within seconds. People were throwing wild punches, shoving and tackling each other as others tried to break the fight.Scripps station KTNV in Las Vegas spoke with a parent who was at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club. Concerned with his kid's safety, he did not want to be identified."It was scary you know just to know that all those kids around, and how fast the situation escalated... just one second everybody was having fun and the next second it was chaos," the parent said. "It was a 'think fast' moment because the kids were close. More than anything it was just getting the kids out of the way and then figuring out what was going on."KTNV reached out to Boys and Girls Club and the National Youth Sports League which oversees the game.The League responded saying it is still "gathering facts" saying, "If found that any of the individuals were involved in our league they will be immediately removed and we will press charges. A second Trump Organization employee discussed a potential immunity deal with the federal prosecutors who charged Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, according to people familiar with the matter.That employee ultimately did not receive immunity after prosecutors in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York decided against granting such protection. The person was not called to testify before the grand jury, the people familiar with the matter said.The employee's identity couldn't be determined by CNN. Spokespeople for the US Attorney's office and Trump Organization declined to comment.News of the second employee's talks with prosecutors comes after Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg was granted immunity for providing information about Cohen. A pro-growth group's sweeping victory this week could smooth the road for more dense housing in San Diego's uptown neighborhoods.The group, Rise Up Town, won all seven open seats on the city's Uptown Planning Group. The all-volunteer board makes official recommendations to the City Council on proposals in Hillcrest, Bankers Hill, Mission Hills and parts of University Heights. Rise Up Town campaigned on "taller, well designed buildings," with support for affordable development, faster approval, and more walkable and bikeable neighborhoods, with lower speed traffic. It also said the current board members weren't doing enough to support growth in a time that San Diego needs it. "We thought that we could address the problems that we saw in terms of housing affordability, in terms of bike and pedestrian infrastructure within the community," said Clint Daniels, one of the newly elected members. "We got together, we were passionate about it, and we thought those passionate ideas that we could serve the community well."About 500 people voted in the election, held Tuesday before the Uptown Planning Group's meeting. The vote unseated three incumbents, including board chair Leo Wilson. Mat Wahlstrom, who lost his bid for re-election, said he's concerned the new members could serve as a rubber stamp for developers. "None of us have said anything against appropriate density," he said. "We definitely don't want to put all of uptown under saran wrap."There are 17 members on the Uptown Planning Group. A suspect is in custody after a hospital in New Hampshire was locked down due to an active shooter situation, which authorities described as a "domestic situation." One person was killed during Tuesday's incident. A string of five arrests in one week is highlighting a new trend in the drug smuggling business. Teens are strapping Fentanyl to their stomachs and back and trying to walk it across the border.Since March 27th, US Border Patrol agents have made five such arrests of teenagers at the San Ysidro port of entry."It's something that the US Attorney's office is not going to sit idly by and watch the cartels manipulate these children," says Deptuty US Attorney Mark Conover.Overall, Fentanyl smuggling is on the rise. Officials say it's up 1250% since 2015. And between 2016 and 2017, the number of Fentanyl seizures at San Diego's border went up from 260 to 952.But it hasn't been until the last few months that agents started seeing teens trying to move the drug."Cartels are using high school students to recruit other high school students," says Conover. "Oftentimes it's underpriveleged students that need a few hundred dollars are are willing to assume the risk of strapping drugs to their body."The arrests show that most of the teens are US Citizens who live in Mexico with their families. They cross the border every morning for school. Many don't know the danger associated with the drug.Fentanyl is extremely potent. The amount that it takes to cause a fatal overdose is smaller than the size of Abraham Lincoln's face on a penny. Agents worry that if the package the teens are smuggling breaks, it could kill them and others around them.Already in 2018, there have been 8 confirmed overdose deaths from Fentanyl in San Diego, with another 12 under suspicion.  In 2017, there were 82. As recently as 2014, when the first Fentanyl seizure was made at the border, there were only 15."This is a binational problem, and it requires a binational solution," says Conover.The US Attorney's office met this week with the Mexican Consular General in San Diego to discuss ways to fight the new trend. They plan PSAs that will air on both sides of the border, and an educational program where they can go into schools and teach kids the legal and physical dangers of becoming a drug mule."We certainly hope the kids that would consider this, once they know the risks, once the know the consequences, once they know there's very little upside for themselves, they'll think twice," says Conover.The US Attorney's office is also working with the DA's office in San Diego on prosecuting offenders. But since the teens are in the juvenile system, oftentimes the punishment is light. For adults, 400 grams of Fentanyl carries a mandatory 10-year sentence. The US Attorney's office is hoping they can target the adults dealing the drug in the US and the Cartels supplying it in Mexico to stop the trend.They've already prosecuted 3 dealers in San Diego this year, charging them when someone overdoses. 2813
