SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – One of the PGA Tour’s most popular events, the Farmers Insurance Open, will once again be held in San Diego, but no fans will be allowed to attend the January 2021 tournament due to the coronavirus pandemic.Event organizers Century Club of San Diego announced Monday that the Farmers Insurance Open is set for Jan. 25-31 at Torrey Pines Golf Course.However, spectators will be prohibited from the tournament site.Century Club CEO Marty Gorsich said, “We recognize that COVID-19 requires dramatic modifications to the operations of our annual event. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Quiet neighborhood walks have turned disturbing for a growing number of women in Rancho Bernardo.Along Paseo Lucido, feet from a park, Lauren was walking her dog one early evening two weeks ago. She walked past the passenger side of an older, white, 2-door Toyota."The front windows were down and the seat was back ... looked over inside the car and saw he was exposing himself and touching himself," said Lauren.'He' was a large man in his 30s with short dark hair."He smiled when he saw me looking. I immediately looked away. Just very anxious and scared," said Lauren.Lauren took off for a neighbor's house. When she returned minutes later, the car was gone. About a week later - around 6:30 a.m. last Thursday - Robbie was blocks away on Avenida Venusto when a similar car, driven by a man with a similar description, pulled ahead of her and parked in a red zone."Kind of slouched back. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police arrested a man Monday suspected of hitting a good Samaritan with his car at Ocean Beach in April before leaving the scene.According to police, Jaron Hillyer, 27, was arrested for felony hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license and no valid insurance.Police say Hillyer struck Julio Vazquez on the 2900 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard April 9 after Vazquez pulled over to help a couple stranded in their broken-down vehicle.RELATED: Good Samaritan recovering after hit and run accident in Ocean Beach  Following the crash, Vazquez was hospitalized with a broken leg and bruised lung.After police released a description of Hillyer’s vehicle, police were able to identify and arrest the suspect.Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.RELATED: Man helping stranded couple on Ocean Beach road struck by vehicle   942

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - People who live near Mini Square Park in City Heights are fed up with what they say is a rise in crime and noise. They're calling for a curfew to be imposed at the park from 9 pm - 5 am."Every rule that's posted here is broken all day long and mostly all night long," says one woman who asked 10News not to identify her because she feels unsafe in her home next to the park. "I can get practically high from the marijuana that comes into my window cause it overlooks the park. The noise becomes just unbearable at times."The park opened in 2014, on 43rd Street in between Polk and University Avenue. Sitting between a senior center, an apartment complex and a health clinic, It was designed as a way to give adults in the community a gathering place.Instead, neighbors say it's been overrun with crime and drugs.A search of the website crimemapping.com shows 148 crimes reported within 1000 feet of the park over the last six months. That includes 21 stolen cars, 19 assaults and 16 robberies.It's gotten to the point where some people say they're afraid to walk by it, especially at night."Of course I would like to be in this park, to spend my free time there," says Isaac Musaazi, who lives in the apartment complex next door. "But I can't because of the people who are there."A community meeting to discuss a curfew and how to enforce it is scheduled for Thursday with the Community Parks Committee. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- New data shows that home sales in Southern California could be dipping, while sales in San Diego County are on the rise. The data from CoreLogic shows that the sale of existing housing sold in Southern California in April of 2018 was down nearly four percent since March of 2018.In San Diego County, however, home sales increased by more than five percent in April.
