AGOURA, California — The movie set ranch featured in the HBO television series “Westworld” and almost 500 other productions was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire, Santa Monica Mountains park rangers tweeted Friday.The piece of Hollywood history, known as “Western Town” at Paramount Ranch, was located in Agoura. With its rolling hills and canyons, it was used to create an Old West look for film and television shoots.Paramount Studios bought the 2,700 acre ranch in the golden era of Hollywood. According to the National Park Service, the permanent Western Town was built in the 1950s and posed as Tombstone, Arizona, and Dodge City, Kansas.In addition to “Westworld”, the set also served as the home of “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and episodes of Gunsmoke. (KGTV) — Residents in the area where the Holy Fire scorched thousands of acres in August have been ordered to evacuate as rains hit Southern California.Rainfall Thursday brought threats of flash floods and mudslides to areas impacted by the fire in Orange and Riverside counties. Residents were told they "must go now" on the Riverside County information website. Aldon Smith, who was the NFC's Defensive Player of the Year, has a warrant out for his arrest on Monday after a possible domestic incident from the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Smith is wanted on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, false imprisonment and vandalism, the Chronicle reported. Earlier the in the day, the Oakland Raiders released Smith. The incident in question was reportedly Saturday evening, and the victim identified Smith as the suspect. TMZ reported that Smith checked into a rehab facility on Monday. Smith has had frequent encounters with law enforcement. The Chronicle reported that Smith has three previous DUI arrests. He was also arrested in June 2012 when illegal weapons were found at his house during a party where two people were shot, and he was stabbed.  908

According to court documents, the members of a militia group who allegedly plotted to kidnap and kill Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer hoped to conduct executions of politicians on live TV.The documents state that Adam Fox — the man who state and federal officials have called the alleged "ringleader" of the Wolverine Watchmen militia group — devised two separate plans. "Plan A" included recruiting 200 men, taking over the entire state Capitol building, taking hostages and executing "tyrants" on live television.A secondary plan was to lock the door and set the building on fire.Fourteen men have been charged by the state and federal government in related cases. The documents were filed in Jackson County Court last month.The plot planning went on for about six months. After more than two weeks of a raging inferno, firefighters are getting closer to containing the Camp Fire that has killed 84 people in Northern California.At least 475 people remain unaccounted for so far, down from thousands days earlier, the Butte County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.The state's deadliest wildfire, which started on November 8, is now 95% contained after rain helped firefighters extinguish some of the hot spots, according to Cal Fire."All containment lines continue to hold around the fire," it said.
