Thomson Reuters is eliminating 12 percent of its global workforce.The media company is drastically shrinking its staff, cutting 3,200 jobs and closing 55 offices by 2020. Reuters says it will employ roughly 23,800 people — down from its current workforce of 27,000.Reuters revealed its plans for the future at its annual investor day in Toronto. Thomas Lane, one of the four former Minneapolis officers arrested in connection with the death of George Floyd, posted bail on Wednesday according to jail records.Lane was among the three officers who were charged with aiding and abetting a murder. The fourth officer, Derek Chauvin, was charged with murder.Lane's bail was set at 0,000 following his arrest last week.Lane was on his fourth day with the Minneapolis Police when Floyd died in his custody. The report found that companies were often pressuring consumers into deals that were too good to be true."No deal is too good to pass up,” says Grant. “If the deal is good today, it's going to be good tomorrow."There are ways you can protect yourself. Grant says it's best to do your research; never sign anything on the spot. Also, avoid digital contracts that require you to sign on a phone or tab. You should ask for a copy of what you are signing."You want to shop around and see what the costs are of other companies and compare their reputations as well," suggests Grant.Checking the company’s reviews on the Better Business Bureau is a good place to start when choosing the right company.  1749
