The group of marine scientists, archeologists, and historians went to work using science and advanced technology to find missing aircraft with servicemen still onboard."It's really easy to look on a map and say, 'hey, x marks the spot.' And it turns out that x could be several square miles,'" said Eric Terrill, Co-Founder of Project Recover and a Scripps OceanographerIn October 2017, Terrill and his team set out on a three-week expedition.  "These robots allow us to do very detailed surveys of the seabed using scanning sonar," he said.After 11 days on the water covering roughly six thousand acres and talking to fishermen, they found the wreckage."It was a mixture of elation and sadness," he said. "It's very humbling knowing this is really a grave site of historical importance."Althaus' cousin was no longer just a name and a face in black and white."For the first time in 74 years, we've seen what his grave looks like and that is a priceless gift," Althaus said.Today, there are still more than 72,000 missing U.S. service members from WWII. "There are stories like this all around the country of an uncle or a father or a grandfather that never returned home," Terrill said. "It's remarkable to think that [families] carry this loss for that many decades and then to actually see it play out is just amazing."Lieutenant Kelly's family has already been in contact with the families of seven other crew members on the plane. A Department of Education team that had looked into fraud and abuse by for-profit colleges has been dismantled to the point that it has "effectively killed investigations" into institutions where top hires of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos once worked, The New York Times reported Sunday, citing current and former employees.The team has gone from about a dozen lawyers and investigators looking into advertising, recruitment, and graduate employment claims of several institutions at the end of the Obama administration to just three team members today, the Times reported. A Clarksville teacher was charged with assault after an incident with a student during a field trip to Nashville was reported to police.According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Robert Neitzke – a teacher at Clarksville Academy – was arrested after he allegedly grabbed a student by his throat and pushed him against a wall.The alleged incident happened on March 3 while a group of students were staying at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville. The police report said that Neitzke was the only adult on the trip.Around 11 p.m., Neitzke was reportedly trying to give students instructions for the next day and had to stop several times to get their attention. That’s when one of the students asked, “can we hurry this up,” and Neitzke allegedly approached the student and started to grab him. Police said Neitzke then said “it would be funny if your head hit the wall” before backing up and then grabbing the student by the neck before pushing him against the wall.The student told officers that he was able to say "get off me" and push him back. He told police that while he had no visible injuries, the squeezing of his neck caused “some discomfort.”Several other students were interviewed and all gave a very similar account of the incident, according to the report. A Charlotte County, Florida mom was arrested Wednesday morning after she accidentally ran into her son in the drop-off area of the Port Charlotte High School parking lot.According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Nadine Williams has a suspended license and gave false identification at the scene.  Williams' son was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.Deputies said they found Williams had a suspension for unpaid traffic fines and a failure to maintain insurance. They also said they found a citation for driving without a license just days before the incident Wednesday morning. When deputies asked her about the suspension, they said she told them she knew she was suspended, but she had to drive because it wasn't "like I'm murdering or raping."  815

Qualcomm claims that Apple violates two of its patents in the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. The patents allow people to edit and resize photos on a phone and to manage apps by using a touchscreen, according to Qualcomm.The practical effect of the injunction is not yet clear.
