(KGTV) — A Los Angeles-area police pursuit ended late Tuesday with a suspect breakdancing as officers held him a gunpoint before being arrested.The chase took California Highway Patrol officers through the San Fernando Valley after the suspect failed to yield to commands to stop, according to ABC-affiliate KABC.Officers pursued the suspect over the 101 Freeway, north on the 405 Freeway, and then east onto the 118 Freeway.As the driver slowed in the Pacoima area, officers were able to enact a PIT maneuver and spin the suspect's vehicle out.The driver exited the vehicle and began walking backward toward CHP officers. But before turning himself over, he stopped and began breakdancing in the street, as officers kept their firearms trained on the man.After a short dance, the man surrendered to police without incident. 832

(KGTV) - Body camera video released Friday shows YouTube shooter Nasim Aghdam telling Mountain View Police she had no plans for violence, hours before she opened fire at the company's San Bruno headquarters.The police recording shows officers identify Aghdam’s car in a Walmart parking lot in Mountain View about 1:30 a.m. on April 3. Less than 12 hours later, Aghdam would open fire in a courtyard at the YouTube campus, injuring three people before turning the gun on herself. Mountain View Police said the license plate showed Aghdam's vehicle was linked to a San Diego missing persons report filed by her family. The MVPD said seven record systems were checked during this time, including the Armed and Prohibited Persons System. The APPS cross-references records of persons who lawfully purchased weapons with the records of those who are prohibited from owning them. The systems checks for Aghdam came back negative, police said.RELATED: Police shooter Aghdam visited gun range before shootingTwo officers knocked on the window and woke up Aghdam, who had been sleeping in the back seat. During their conversation, officers asked Aghdam if she knew her family in San Diego had reported her missing.“We didn’t get along together so I left them,” Aghdam said. Aghdam also said she went to Northern California to start fresh in a place without memories.Officers asked Aghdam if she was taking medication or needed to take medication. He thanked officers for the call and hung up.One hour later, the father called Mountain View Police to let them know his daughter had recently become upset about changes on the YouTube platform that had impacted videos she had created on living a vegan lifestyle, police said. (KGTV and AP) -- A Coronado parachutist jumped out of a plane over Normandy Wednesday, just as soldiers did 75 years ago, according to the Associated Press. The parachutists were honoring the airborne soldiers who jumped into gunfire ahead of the June 6 1944 seaborne invasion. 97-year-old D-Day veteran Tom Rice was among the paratroopers who leapt out of planes that day. According to the Associated Press, Rice jumped in tandem Wednesday into roughly the same area he landed on D-Day. “It went perfect, perfect jump,” Rice said following the jump. “I feel great. I’d go up and do it again.”On D-Day, Rice jumped with the 101st Airborne Division, landing safely despite catching himself on the exit and a bullet hitting his parachute. Rice flew down Wednesday with the stars and stripes flag beneath him, landing with loud applause. Other parachutists jumped with World War II souvenirs, some of which were worn by their grandfathers into battle. Rice said following the jump that he feels he represents a whole generation.
