RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Mo. – Authorities are searching for a person of interest following a shooting at a St. Louis area mall that left one person dead and another injured Wednesday.The St. Louis County Police Department said on Twitter that the two people were shot at the St. Louis Galleria Mall in Richmond Heights shortly before 12:34 p.m. CT.When officers arrived at the scene, police say they located the adult male victims. One victim, a man in his early 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other was transported to an area hospital for life-saving treatment.The department said it does not consider the shooting an active shooter incident.Police believe two groups of people got into some sort of dispute inside the mall and the altercation escalated into a shooting. (AP) — An investigation has found many California state agencies have failed to provide sexual harassment training for all their supervisors as required by state law.Capital Public Radio reported Tuesday its investigation found nearly 60 percent of agencies surveyed by the State Personnel Board did not provide the training, up from 25 percent in 2016 and 32 percent in 2017.The public radio station reports that since 2016, the State Personnel Board has identified nearly 1,800 state government supervisors at dozens of agencies who did not receive the required training.A state law requires businesses with 50 or more workers and all state agencies to provide two hours of sexual harassment training to new supervisors within six months of being hired or promoted. 794

Rocky, the owl recently rescued from the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, was released into the wild on Tuesday, completing a long journey that started from the world’s most famous Christmas tree.The Ravensbeard Wildlife Center showed video of Rocky’s majestic release into the wild on its Facebook page. The center is located about 100 miles north of New York City.The wildlife center said it released Rocky shortly before nightfall so the owl could find safe harbor for the night. It is believed that Rocky will join other owls in the region and head south for the winter.“She is a tough little bird and we're happy to see her back in her natural habitat. We are sure that Rocky will feel your love and support through her journey south,” the Ravensbeard Wildlife Center said in a Facebook post.It is believed that Rocky made the 170-mile trek with the tree.
