YANGON, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar surgeons have successfully separated the fifth conjoined twin baby girls, official media reported Thursday.The surgical operation by Dr. Htoo Han and his assistants was performed on the two-year-and-one-month-old conjoined twins named Ma Ingyin Khaing and Ma Ingyin Hlaing in the Children's Hospital in Yangon Wednesday, according to the New Light of Myanmar daily.The separated twins, who are under extensive care in the hospital, are from Kawtin village in Laungton township in southern Tanintharyi region.Myanmar surgeons had carried out four successful similar surgical operations on twins in the past over two decades.The fourth twins, who are also baby girls named So Pyay Lin and So Pyay Win with their chests joined together, were successfully separated in October 2009.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Microsoft announced Wednesday that it will bring cable television content to its Xbox video game console over the upcoming holiday season, expanding the console into an entertainment hub.According to the company's press release, nearly 40 world- leading TV and entertainment providers such as HBO GO and BBC will stream their content through the Xbox Live service in more than 20 countries and regions.Users will be able to sift through shows online with the Kinect motion sensor device for Xbox 360 and Bing voice search, Microsoft said.To watch TV programs via Xbox as an alternate delivery system, customers have to already subscribe to the TV services and Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold service of 60 U.S. dollars per year."Today's announcement is a major step toward realizing our vision to bring you all the entertainment you want, shared with the people you care about, made easy," Microsoft said in the press release.Microsoft first entered the gaming console market in 2001 with the Xbox, the predecessor to the Xbox 360. HELSINKI, Nov.23 (Xinhua) -- Nokia Siemens Networks is planning to cut its workforce by 17,000 worldwide by the end of 2013, the company said in a statement on Wednesday in Espoo, Finland.The company said the measures are part of an extensive global restructuring program, in which it will focus on mobile broadband and services."We need to take the necessary steps to maintain long term competitiveness and improve profitability in a challenging telecommunications market," said the company's Chief Executive Rajeev Suri in the statement.Rajeev Suri called the job cuts regrettable but necessary, and said the company would provide support for individuals and communities affected by the cuts, but defended the decision on economic grounds.Nokia Siemens is aiming to cut operating expenditures by around a billion euros over two years.Some 74,000 people currently work for the Espoo-based company in 150 countries, around 7,000 in Finland.
