(KGTV) -- North County residents joined our 10News team as we marched for healthy babies in the annual March of Dimes March for Babies. Our 10News evening anchor Steve Atkinson emceed the event. The money raised during the walk goes to research to find cures for birth defects and to help find a way end premature births. The goal is to make sure that moms and babies have the best possible care to be healthy. The North County walk raised over ,000. One day after a young girl was struck by a foul ball at Yankee Stadium, players are calling on MLB to expand netting at all stadiums. Currently, just five of 30 MLB stadiums have netting that cover sections closer to the dugouts, despite a 2015 safety recommendation to expand netting from dugout to dugout. Currently in the majority of MLB stadiums, the netting provides protection for field-level seats behind home plate, exposing fans who sit behind the dugouts. Although a number of minor league stadiums have upgraded netting, the majority of MLB stadiums have not followed suit. The young girl struck by a foul ball on Wednesday was sitting behind the third base dugout. After Wednesday's incident, some players are left wondering, "What will it take" to expand netting. "I don't care about the damn view of a fan or what,'' Twins second baseman Brian Dozier told reporters after the game. "It's all about safety. I still have a knot in my stomach."MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said on Thursday that the league would once again discuss expanding netting. "The events at yesterday's game involving a young girl were extremely upsetting for everyone in our game," Manfred told ESPN's Bob Ley. "Over the past few seasons MLB has worked with our clubs to expand the amount of netting in our ballparks. In light of yesterday's event, we will redouble our efforts on this important issue."One stadium that is planning to expand netting is Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. "The existing netting meets Major League Baseball’s recommended guidelines, and the new netting will go beyond the standards established by the Commissioner’s Office," the Reds said in a statement. 1728

OAXACA, Mexico (KGTV) - At least 13 people were killed and 15 others were injured after a helicopter crashed while surveying damage from Mexico's 7.2-magnitude earthquake Friday.The victims, all of whom were on the ground at the time of the crash, included five women, four men, and three children, according to the Associated Press.  The Oaxaca state prosecutor's office said another victim died at a nearby hospital.The group of people had reportedly been spending the night in an open field following the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Mexico's southern state Friday, the AP reported.RELATED: 7.2-magnitude earthquake strikes southern MexicoThe helicopter was reportedly carrying Mexico’s interior minister and Oaxaca Gov. It was originally reported as a preliminary 7.5-magnitude quake, before being downgraded.At least 100,000 people were left without power in Oaxaca and at least 50 homes were damaged by the earthquake as well.Social media following the earthquake showed lights swaying violently inside buildings and people fleeing outside in Mexico City, where a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit last September, killing an estimated 200, including 22 school children. 1389

One of the children allegedly held captive by her parents in a California home posted video and photos on secret social media accounts, according to ABC News.ABC News obtained video from a YouTube account that offers short glimpses inside the Turpin family home in Perris. The YouTube account belongs to the 17-year-old Turpin daughter who escaped the house and notified authorities.The girl used an alias on the account, ABC News reported.The YouTube account includes clips of the teen singing songs she says she wrote herself and playing with one of the family's two dogs. One of the girl's video clips includes a look at a room with clothes scattered everywhere.The most recent clip on the account was posted about a week before she escaped from the home.ABC News also reported the teen had an Instagram page -- also using an alias -- that featured selfies, photos of animals and images of singer Justin Bieber.  933
