The first case of Wuhan coronavirus has been confirmed in the United States, the CDC said Tuesday.According to the CDC, the patient had returned from a visit to the Wuhan province of China on Jan. 15. The virus, which causes respiratory illnesses, including pneumonia, has now infected 300 people around the world and killed six people in five countries. Texas authorities say a search for a suspect continues after two people were killed and five others were injured following a shooting during a concert inside a San Antonio club. Police say officers were called shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday to the Ventura, a music venue located along San Antonio's Museum Reach portion of the River Walk. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus tells KENS-TV that an argument led to the shooting of several patrons. One victim died at the scene, and another six were transported to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. 590

The body of Nevaeh Adams, a 5-year-old South Carolina girl who went missing in August, was found on Friday, the Sumter Police Department announced on Tuesday. Police used DNA to confirm the body found was Nevaeh's. Nevaeh's mother, Sharee Bradley, was also killed. Bradley's body was found on Aug. 5 in her apartment by a family member.The suspect, Daunte Johnson, has admitted to killing Bradley and her daughter, police say. The Department of Justice announced indictments on Wednesday against four executives who were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to fix prices and rig bids for broiler chickens. Jayson Penn, Roger Austin, Mikell Fries, and Scott Brady were each charged with one antitrust charge in federal court. Penn is the President and Chief Executive Officer, and Austin is a former Vice President, of Pilgrim’s Pride, a chicken supplier headquartered in Colorado. Fries is the President and a member of the board, and Brady is a Vice President, of Claxton Poultry, a broiler chicken producer headquartered in Georgia.According to Pilgrim’s Pride, it provides 20% of all chicken consumed in the United States. Claxton Poultry says it produces 300 million pounds of poultry a year, and is a supplier for Chick-fil-A. The DOJ alleges that the foursome's actions caused chicken prices at restaurants and grocery stores to be impacted. “Particularly in times of global crisis, the division remains committed to prosecuting crimes intended to raise the prices Americans pay for food,” said Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim of the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. “Executives who cheat American consumers, restauranteurs, and grocers, and compromise the integrity of our food supply, will be held responsible for their actions.”The executives face a maximum sentence of 10 years, and a million fine, if convicted.
