You may have heard the phrase lately, 'the pandemic isn't over just because you're over it,' and that is because a lot of people across the country are feeling COVID fatigue. We've been doing the work, wearing masks, social-distancing and upending nearly every aspect of our lives, but with the end of the pandemic still unclear, many are left feeling defeated and burned out," Best-selling author and clinical psychologist Dr. Wayne Pernell said. "We are running this marathon and someone goes, 'we moved the finish line, keep going.'"In fact, he said whatever you are feeling is normal, but it is definitely understandable to feel, for lack of a better term, completely over it. So, how do we cope with this constant change and uncertainty? For starters, Dr. Pernell said do something as simple as reminding yourself of the things you have grown to like about this new normal."We really need to take time for ourselves and to recognize that there are some things we like about the new schedule. My commute has been reduced to about 30 seconds," Pernell chuckled.Other examples of this are getting to spend time with your kids or having lunch every day with a significant other, things that would not have been possible without current restrictions.Dr. Pernell also said to give yourself a break and recognize when others need it too."We all get to this place of a little irritation or a little 'I've had enough.' Allow that, recognize it, acknowledge it and don't try and make it better," he said.Keeping with the trend of thinking positively, Dr. Pernell said he sees this as a time to really hone the skills we are gaining. He said given what we are all going through, we will be more resilient and courageous, things he said will serve us well going forward."Every day we are filled with uncertainty," Dr. Pernell said. "Every day we wake up and we don't know what today might hold... if there are new impositions on us or new rules."Of course, number one, Dr. Pernell said to remember that this will end. Eventually."Recognize also that just like a foggy day or a rainy day, just realize it's not foggy or rainy all the time, forever and ever and ever. That this does burn out, that there is sunshine," Dr. Pernell said. This story was originally reported by Claire Crouch at WLEX. 2293

in the Senate. The bill, which was introduced by the Trump administration, was blocked after Democratic Senators voted against it.Democrats have said the bill offers too much to corporations and not enough protection against the funds being used for stock buybacks and executive pay. Republicans urge that the bill be passed quickly, so the federal government begin sending Americans checks of up to ,200 to help stimulate the economy. As the Senate bill failed, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced her own stimulus bill in the House of Representatives — a move that could lengthen the amount of time it could take for the government to provide aid to economically strapped Americans. 688

With the advancement of technology, it’s rare to pay for things using cash. We use our cards, phones and the internet to pay for what we need. Now, more churches are turning to digital donations to collect their tithes and offerings.St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Denver, Colorado is one church already going digital.Judy Cox, a churchgoer and volunteer at St. Andrew, doesn’t wait until Sunday to give her donations to the church.“It's like all the rest of my bills; I pay them electronically,” explains Cox. “Then that's one huge chore I don't have to think of each month.”Andy Dunning, an executive pastor at St. Andrew, says more than 40 percent of the congregation is giving their offerings regularly online. 728

according to the Hamilton County prosecutor.Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters announced the indictment for Rev. Geoffrey D. Drew during a Monday afternoon press conference. The incidents occurred between 1988 and 1991 when Drew was employed as a music minister at St. Jude School in Green Township, Deters said. He was not a priest at the time; he was ordained in 2004.A Hamilton County Grand Jury handed down the indictment Monday. If convicted, Drew faces life in prison, Deters said.</div>A 41-year-old man testified before a grand jury last week after the meetings at St. Ignatius of Loyola were publicized, Deters said. The man said he was 10 and 11 years old and was an altar boy when the incidents occurred, Deters said."It was very emotional," Deters said. "It was emotional for him. It was emotional for the grand jury. It was a very emotional piece of testimony. And he deserves a lot of credit for coming forward, as difficult as it is. He could've just said, 'I'm moving on with my life,' but he wanted to stop this behavior. And he's going to." 1068

because he didn't have proper representation during the trial. John Myers was convicted in the murder of Jill Behrman, 19, in Morgan County in October, 2006, following a 12-day jury trial.
