According to officials with the Workforce Partnership, walk-ins won’t be accepted, however some services will be available by appointment only.“Our resources have always been available online, and actually the number one way people file for unemployment in or out of a public health emergency is online,” said Andrew Picard, chief program Officer at the San Diego Workforce Partnership.Picard said if people don't have a computer or internet access, don't worry, the phone still works. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Demonstrators gathered across the county to demonstrate against police violence ahead of several expected protests during the weekend.Events in Carlsbad and Escondido brought demonstrators to street corners and parks with signs and cries for action, in response to police killings of black men sparked after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Similar events were also planned for Oceanside and San Diego.Friday's gatherings mark about a week of daily protests calling for police reform around the county. This week, some of those reforms materialized in moves by local departments to end the use of the carotid restraint technique. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Erica Norman spent months saving thousands for a cruise down the Mexican Riviera on the massive Norwegian Bliss. Norman and about 4,000 others boarded that ship this week and were whisked away from the Port of Los Angeles. They were excited for a trip down to Cabo and Mazatlan - but instead, they wound up in San Francisco."I paid ,000 for this cruise and it's just a tour going in a circle in California," said Norman, who lives in Orange County. "I'm not happy about that."Norman said that about two hours into the cruise, the passengers got an announcement that the ship would divert to San Francisco, San Diego, and make one stop in Ensenada before heading back to Los Angeles.
