Before 7-year-old Faizan Zaki takes the stage at this year’s national spelling bee competition, he will take the stage to sing with his first-grade class in Allen, Texas. Zaki is the youngest participant in the 2019 Scripps National Spelling Bee. When asked how he felt about being the youngest speller, Zaki replies, “I just feel normal.” However, Zaki isn’t like most 7-year-olds. Are you ready for fall? Dunkin' hopes you are ready as it announced on Monday that its pumpkin spice flavors will be available on Aug. 21. According to Dunkin', its stores will feature several new products: A Cinnamon Spice Pumpkin Spice Latte and Apple Cider Donuts and Munchkins donut holes. This is in addition to its lineup of pumpkin flavored coffees, pumpkin donuts and pumpkin muffins. Dunkin's release of the fall favorites might predate Starbucks' release. Starbucks, which hasn't officially announced when its pumpkin spice lattes will be available, generally makes its fall lineup available in late August. BUFFALO, New York — Many 3-to-4-year-old students in Buffalo, New York schools are coming to class without being properly potty trained, teachers in the district are now saying.According to the Buffalo Teachers Federation, teachers and teacher aides often find themselves stepping away from class to change diapers. The union now wants the district to create a specific potty training policy."The bottom line on it is, as far as I'm concerned, children should come to school potty trained,” Phil Rumore, President of the Buffalo Teachers Federation, said. “If they're not it's not the kid's fault." This call stems from a survey of teachers conducted by Rumore, who says there needs to be more guidance from Buffalo Public Schools."What do I do? A child soils himself in my class. Who is going to clean the child up and work with the child and the parents? Apparently there is no answer because there is no policy,” Rumore said."We're willing to continue to dialogue with the aides and their representation in the future to hear their concerns and see if we can find common ground,” BPS General Counsel Nathaniel Kuzma said in a statement.BPS’s current policies and guidelines only include potty training support and education geared toward students with disabilities.Under current guidelines from the State Education Department, “children who are not toilet trained cannot be excluded from either Pre-K or kindergarten enrollment”. Attorney General William Barr is back on Capitol Hill Wednesday to testify at another hearing on the Justice Department budget that's sure to be filled with more swirling questions over special counsel Robert Mueller's report.Barr is appearing before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee one day after he testified before a House subcommittee and answered many -- though not all -- questions from lawmakers about the release of Mueller's nearly 400 page report.At the House hearing, Barr said he expected to release a redacted version of the Mueller report within a week, with plans to color-code redactions and provide an explanation for why material was not released publicly.But Barr sparred with House Democrats who pressed him on why he would not release grand jury material or provide the full, unredacted Mueller report to Congress."I don't intend at this stage to send the full, unredacted report to the committee," Barr said, adding that wouldn't ask a court to release grand jury material "Until someone shows me a provision" that allows it to be released.In the House, Barr was squaring off with Democrats who have subpoena power and have already authorized a subpoena in the Judiciary Committee to obtain the full Mueller report and underlying evidence.
