According to authorities, the crash happened along Winter Gardens Boulevard at Winter Gardens Drive around 7 a.m. Police say the driver was heading down Winter Gardens Boulevard when, for an unknown reason, he crashed into a rock and mailbox before slamming into a palm tree and a light pole.
