Shaun Crocker, 34, molested a 13-year-old girl at least six times, prosecutors allege. Crocker appeared before a judge at the El Cajon courthouse on charges of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14. He was ordered to be held on million bail and return to court Aug. 16 for a readiness hearing.Crocker's birth certificate shows he is the son of Matthew Hedge, a sex offender convicted in 1989 of molesting four children. The department received a 911 call around 10:18 a.m. from a woman who said her grandmother was stabbed during a burglary on the 1200 block of North Mollison Avenue. After officers arrived, they found the woman who appeared to have been stabbed several times. The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. After investigating the stabbing, police determined that the woman’s adult granddaughter, Elektra Del Sol, 19, was responsible for the crime. She was arrested and booked into jail. They plan to put them in shopping centers and other high-traffic areas. The idea is to make it easier to get to a recycling center, rather than making people drive to industrial areas or other parts of town to redeem their deposits."I think for the vast majority of consumers, they don't know where to go to get their money back or to recycle responsibly, or they assume it's more trouble than it's worth to recycle," says Josh Turchin, the owner of One Earth Recycling.A recent report from Consumer Watchdog backs up the notion that people aren't willing to search for redemption centers. The report says around 40% of California's recycling centers have closed in the last five years.
