BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi here on Tuesday, pledging further support for the Pacific island country's push for economic development.

Xi went on the control tower of an airport to observe military drills. Dozens of helicopters took part in the drills, which included low altitude flights, aerial reconnaissance and air assaults. He used binoculars at times to take a closer look, and also met with officers at the Group Army's headquarters.

At the invitation of the Russian government, 996 children from China's quake-hit area came to "Ocean" for rehabilitation and the experience will be etched in their memories, the Chinese president said while addressing the children and teachers at the center.

China is willing to work with Tanzania to take the opportunity of implementing the outcomes of the summit to push forward China-Tanzania and China-Africa relations, Xi said.

Li also called on the SPC and the SPP to summarize their experience, enhance coordination with other agencies and push for the settlement of the judgment enforcement issue.
