(CNN) -- The nightmare for gamers is over: Fortnite is back online with a new chapter. The hugely popular video game came back online Tuesday after a two-day outage while its next iteration was prepped. Users went into a panic Sunday afternoon when the landscape in the game blew up, dragging players into a black hole. They were left watching a mostly dark screen and a spinning black hole, with no way to play.Fortnite's latest chapter features an all-new island with new weapons. Developer Epic Games released a trailer that quickly garnered excitement among its rabid fans.Fortnite is one of the most widely played video games. Even during the weekend's outage, roughly 100,000 people were watching a livestream of the black hole on Twitch. Rod Breslau, an esports and gaming consultant, estimates that millions of gamers in total tuned in just for that.Several Twitch channels were carrying the new chapter live on Tuesday, with the most popular channel garnering nearly 100,000 viewers. Tens of thousands more were watching it on YouTube.Fortnite is a huge money maker for Epic and its founder and CEO, Tim Sweeney. The free game makes money from its in-game currency, V-bucks, which is used to buy weapons and other accessories.Last month, Sweeney landed on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans for the first time. The magazine placed Sweeney at the 150th spot with an estimated net worth of .5 billion.CNN Business' Clare Duffy and Shannon Liao contributed to this report. 1494

(KGTV) — A vintage-looking license plate didn't fool a Southern California officer in Moorpark.A Moorpark Police officer recently pulled over a tractor-trailer to conduct a traffic stop for a false license plate, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department said in a release Monday. The plate appeared to be designed after California's 1960s vintage plates — though with some obvious differences.Instead of "California" the plate read "Califas." The plate's lettering also appeared uneven.During the traffic stop, the driver of the truck appeared to be under the influence, the sheriff's department says. The motorcycle officer's assumption turned out to be correct, the department said, as the driver was arrested for being under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, being an unlicensed driver, and having an active arrest warrant.Authorities ended up towing the truck, as well, citing it was unsafe to drive, the department said. 944

The legal drama that follows threatens a social uprising in the country. The film, however, was almost out of Oscars contention because of the same issues that led to "The Attack" being banned.OSCARS BINGO GAMESHEET | HOW TO PLAY THE OSCARS CHALLENGE"I was very hurt," Doueiri said of his banned film. "You know when we work on films ... we work for years on it."Doueiri eventually gained support from Lebanon's Prime Minister and others, cementing it for Academy Awards contention.Without the support, Doueiri wouldn't have been able to submit "The Insult" for the "best foreign film" award.SPOTS TO VISIT FOR OSCARS FILM BUFFS | HOW TO WATCH OSCARS FILMS AT HOME"When we got the nomination, I just sat down and I said 'you know what, yeah, this is the way to go,'" Doueiri said. "Like we scored a goal. It became about the difficulty that we overcame."Now in just a couple of days, Doueiri will be in Los Angeles, Calif., at his first Academy Awards."I cannot have any expectations.
