A bench warrant was issued for singer R. Kelly after he failed to appear at a court hearing Thursday, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office in Minnesota said.Kelly, whose legal name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was expected at the Hennepin County District Court, spokesman Chuck Laszewski said.In the two-minute hearing, senior Hennepin County Attorney Judith Cole said no attorney had approached her office or filed a certificate of representation for Kelly.The singer is facing two counts of engaging in prostitution with a person under 8 in Minnesota, officials said.A bench warrant makes it non-voluntary for Kelly to show up in court next time.A criminal complaint details an incident that occurred in July 2001 after a minor asked the singer for an autograph at a promotional event.Kelly gave the girl, then 17, his autograph and a phone number, the complaint states. When she called, she was directed to his hotel in Minneapolis and was met by someone she believed was a male member of his staff.The complaint says that when she met Kelly, the two made small talk before he gave her 0 to dance for him. After settling on the amount, she agreed. He took off her clothes and then his, and he touched her sexually while she danced, the documents say.He gave the victim VIP tickets to his concert, the complaint says. "If it is too cheap, that is one of the indicators that maybe it's not either legit Botox, or maybe it has been watered down too much," she said. "What is the price? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."Some doctors suggest that the person hosting the party should have a relationship with the provider. Make sure you've physically been in the office before. "I don't recommend fly-by-the-night hotel Botox parties," said Dr. Gasquet-Johnson. "Or, 'Hey, everyone come by for this networking. We have no idea who this is.'"Finally, be wary if the person doing the Botox doesn't want to engage."I have a dialogue with them, because I want to know what is their experience, and I want to know how many units I should bring," she said. A library book in Maryland is getting national attention after a little girl’s love for the book turned into its own story.Anita Vassallo, the acting director of Montgomery County Public Libraries in Maryland, loves a good story.This month, she read the children’s book The Postman for the very first time, after getting a copy of it in the mail.The person who sent the book: Mora Gregg, who checked the book out from the library back in 1946, when she was just 2 years old. Mora Gregg and her family moved to Canada before she could return it. While cleaning recently, she found the book she’s had all these years.“Probably when I was dusting the books and came across it and was rummaging a bit because it had slipped behind some other books,” Gregg recalls.After finding the neglected piece of her childhood, Gregg decided to return the book to the library 73 years later.“I’m not getting any younger and I didn’t want it to get thrown away or lost or anything to happen,” Gregg says.Gregg mailed the book back to the library with a note inside, joking how she refused to let it go because she loved it so much.The story provided a surprise ending to Vassallo, who also joked about the book’s return.“We don’t charge fines on children’s books, so no matter how old a kid’s book is when it comes back to us, there’s no charge,” Vassallo says. 1356
