With the sports world on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, broadcaster Joe Buck is getting a bit antsy.Fox's top play-by-play man misses his job so much that he's taken to calling the ordinary lives of quarantined Americans. On Tuesday, Buck tweeted that he was looking to get some "practice reps" in while he waits for the sports world to resume. He asked for his followers to send videos of how they're passing the time for him to narrate. Buck got things started with highlights from his own home — a "negotiation" between his wife and son that got out of hand fast. 583
(AP) — Unions are gaining support in Congress for another billion in federal aid to protect airline workers from layoffs for another six months. Still, it's too early to say how the issue will turn out. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell did not include money for airline payrolls in his version of a new coronavirus-relief measure. And it's unclear how the measure would affect the thousands of airline workers who took severance agreements to leave their jobs voluntarily. Unions say that without more money from Washington, airlines will furlough thousands of employees in October, one month before the Nov. 3 election. 640

"Hanging Governor Beshear in effigy is beyond reprehensible, and yet it is also the logical conclusion of the hateful rhetoric we saw touted on the Capitol grounds earlier this month that was implicitly condoned by elected representatives from the legislature's majority party. Doing this in front of our Capitol, just a short walk from where the Governor, First Lady, and their two young children live, is an act that reeks of hate and intimidation and does nothing but undermine our leading work to battle this deadly disease and restore our economy safely. We call on all elected officials to condemn these actions and pledge to work to eliminate dangerous hateful speech." 684
(AP) — The head of a Chinese government expert team says human-to-human transmission has been confirmed in an outbreak of a new coronavirus. State media said Monday that the leader of the National Health Commission team said two people in southern China caught the diseases from family members. The English-language China Daily newspaper said the National Health Commission task force also found that some medical workers have tested positive for the virus. Human-to-human transmission could make the virus spread more quickly and widely. The outbreak is believed to have started from people who picked it up at a fresh food market in the city of Wuhan in central China. 678
