VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A young boy was airlifted to the hospital Tuesday night following a hit-and-run. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened on the 1000 block of Mar Vista Drive around 5 p.m. Lt. Ted Greenawald said a white sedan struck the 12-year-old before leaving the scene. Reports indicate that a second vehicle may have also hit the boy. That driver is said to have remained at the scene. The boy was taken to the Rady Children’s Hospital with injuries to his leg and cuts on his face. The child was conscious and responsive while being treated at the scene, Greenawald said. An initial investigation indicated that the vehicle that first struck the boy was a 2019-2020 white Toyota sedan. “The sedan should have damage to the right mirror and possible front-end damage,” the department said in a news release. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a car in San Diego's Southcrest neighborhood Wednesday morning. According to police, the man's body was found in the driver's seat of the vehicle on the 4000 block of Boston Avenue just before noon. Police say the victim had a wound on his head. At this time, police say they're searching for three teenage boys seen leaving the scene around the time the victim was found dead.Both 40th and 41st Street from Newton Avenue to Boston Avenue and the 4000 block of Boston Avenue, including the North Alley and Recreation Center foot path were closed throughout the day Wednesday as police investigated. The circumstances surrounding the death are unclear at this time. The man’s identity also hasn’t been released. With more Americans working from home, it appears many companies could stick with telework following the spread of the coronavirus.According to a survey of 150 human resources representatives by The Conference Board, 77% expect a shift toward teleworking one year after the coronavirus spread subsides. Those survey expect more workers to spend at least three days a week from home. While many companies might expand telework, some are reporting a decrease in productivity amid the spread of coronavirus. 32% of professional and office work had a decrease in productivity. That number increased to 44% for companies geared toward industry and manual services. But 21% of professional services and 27% industry and manual services companies saw an increase in productivity. But much of that appears not to be connected to telework, and more a result of decreased staffing and revenue."A shift toward more remote working will have major implications for HR departments," said Robin Erickson, PhD, a report co-author and Principal Researcher at The Conference Board.
