Kao Kim Hourn added that the China's proposed "Belt and Road" initiative, which is backed by the Silk Road Fund and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), would be an effective way to help countries along the route to develop economies and reduce poverty.
"I definitely believe that in these types of forums, world leaders can strengthen the commitment," she said.
