Police say a Texas woman was not happy when she caught her husband of 11 years looking at another woman, so she allegedly stabbed him after attending a festival in San Antonio, the Express News reports. Star Perez, 27, was arrested on charges of suspicion of aggravated assault following the incident Saturday night. Police claim that after the couple returned home from the festival, Perez confronted her husband about looking at the woman. PARIS (AP) — Paris city hall has been fined 90,000 euros (9,408) for having appointed too many women to top positions in 2018, in breach of a law aimed at ensuring gender balance. Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo denounced the fine as “unfair” and “absurd” on Tuesday during a meeting of the city council. In 2018, 11 women and 5 men — representing just over 30% — were appointed to senior positions in the Paris city hall. A 2013 law required a minimum of 40% of appointments for each gender. Since then, the law has been changed to provide for exceptions to nominations when the gender balance is respected overall. “Yes, we need to promote women with determination and vigor because everywhere, France is still lagging behind (on that issue),” Hidalgo said.In Paris city hall right now, 47% of people in senior position are women. 836

PHOENIX — A high school play with controversial costumes has some parents outraged.Three students at the Arizona State University Preparatory Academy Phoenix campus dressed in Ku Klux Klan costumes for a school play. Parents say the school never notified them or the rest of the student body that was not in the drama class.The popular play, "The Foreigner," was performed at an assembly for all high school students. "Three students dressed as the KKK walked down the middle of the assembly as part of a play," explained one parent, who wanted to remain anonymous at his daughter's request.
