One officer wants people know there’s a human behind each badge and says now is a time for everyone to come together."To those of you who don't know me, I’m Vinnie Montez, a third generation Mexican American born in Boulder, Colorado," is how Montez starts his now viral video.In the video Montez, a Patrol Commander for the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, states "for the first time in my life, I’m deeply hurt because I have concluded people don’t think much of law enforcement."Vinnie Montez wears a badge and uniform to work, but he said those symbols don't define or speak for him.The commander with the sheriff's office also happens to be a stand-up comedian. His latest material is more commentary than comedy.His five-minute video has been viewed more than 1.3 million times since June 21."It’s really humbled me to be a voice, to create something from our perspective that is not intended to offend anyone, but just share our perspective and encourage people to get to know local law enforcement," Montez said of the post's meteoric views.That perspective includes the dark parts of the job we often don't see. Bayer announced on Thursday a voluntary recall of Alka-Seltzer Plus products sold after February 9, 2018 at retailers nationwide.The affected products can be identified by checking the Bayer logo located on the lower left corner of the front of the carton. If the logo has an orange or green background, the product is included in the recall.The products were sold in the U.S. at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Kroger (including Dillons Food Stores, Fred Meyer, Fry's Food Stores, Ralphs, King Soopers and Smith's Food and Drug)."The ingredients listed on the front sticker of the carton may potentially be different from the ingredients listed on the back of the carton," Bayer said in a statement. "This may lead consumers to ingest a product to which they may have an allergy or anaphylactic reaction, an ingredient which may be contraindicated for their medical condition or they intend to otherwise avoid. There may be potential for serious health consequences. BERLIN (AP) — The German hospital treating Russian dissident Alexei Navalny says tests indicate that he was in fact poisoned.The Charité hospital said in a statement Monday that the team of doctors who have been examining Navalny since he was admitted Saturday have found the presence of “cholinesterase inhibitors” in his system.Cholinesterase inhibitors are a broad range of substances that are found in several drugs, but also pesticides and nerve agents.Doctors at Charite say at the moment the specific substance Navalny was exposed to is not yet known.The hospital says “the patient is in an intensive care unit and is still in an induced coma. His health is serious but there is currently no acute danger to his life.”“Alexei Navalny’s prognosis remains unclear; the possibility of long-term effects, particularly those affecting the nervous system, cannot be excluded,” wrote the hospital.Navalny is being treated with the antidote atropine, according to the hospital. 984
