NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Opry Mills mall in Nashville announced plans to reopen Friday, one day after a shooting claimed the life of a 22-year-old man. The mall will reopen at 10 a.m. local time – fewer than 24 hours after a murder investigation began inside the building. There will be an enhanced Metro Nashville Police presence to ensure that shoppers and staff feel safe. The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. local time Thursday inside a hallway near the Auntie Anne's pretzel shop, just across from Old Navy. The victim, Demarco Churchwell, was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where he later died. Police said the gunman is 22-year-old Justin Golson. He's been charged with homicide. As soon as shots were fired, shoppers scattered, terrified after hearing those gunshots.  "I thought I was going to die, I thought I was never going to see my husband or daughter again,” one woman said. Churchwell and the alleged shooter apparently knew each other. Police said the shooting was the result of an ongoing fight between them.  1111

NBC has answered the 9-1-1 call sent out by "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" fans. The network late on Friday announced it has rescued the comedy series from an untimely death, one day after the show was canceled by Fox.The series received a 13-episode sixth season order from NBC."Ever since we sold this show to Fox I've regretted letting it get away, and it's high time it came back to its rightful home," said Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment. He added: "We're all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up."Viewers of the cult comedy were vocal about their displeasure following news of the show's axing. It was canceled along with two other comedies -- "The Mick" and '"The Last Man on Earth" -- as Fox made room on its schedule for a crop of new shows. The news of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine's" resurrection marks the second major network shuffle of the day.Earlier on Friday, Fox announced it was reviving Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing," one year after the show was canceled by ABC.The fan reaction apparently played a part in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine's" second chance at life."You got loud and you were heard and you saved our show," cast member Melissa Fumero tweeted. The show is produced by Universal Television. It stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller.The-CNN-Wire 1474

MORRISON, Colo. — Alex Biagi lived a normal life for 24 years. He was an athlete and loved art and music. But everything took a turn in 2004.Biagi's left hand started to hurt. At first, he was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. On Thanksgiving eve in 2004, Biagi fell down his stairs."My ankle gave way," Biagi explained. "That's when we knew something else was going on."Biagi lost use of his arms, hands and legs. It took four years for doctors to figure out what was going on. He was later diagnosed with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. The disease is extremely rare."It affects approximately one to two people in 1,000 per year," said Dr. Robert Schabbing with Kaiser Permanente. "Alex has had a severe case of CIDP." When Biagi was first diagnosed, he gave up on art because his hands simply wouldn't allow it. But three years ago, he saw someone on the internet painting with their mouth."I never even thought about doing it that way," he said. "I finally decided to give it a try."For three years, Biagi has been practicing the unique craft and his paintings continue to get better and better. His latest piece of art is making the rounds on the internet. A picture of him touching up his painted portrait of superstar athlete LeBron James exploded on Reddit. 1346
