SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Airbnb says it has cracked down on 17 listings in San Diego County that have received complaints or have violated policies surrounding parties.The rental booking company says the listings have either been suspended or removed from its platform following Airbnb's ban on parities and events at listings until further notice.The listings disciplined were located in the San Diego, Escondido, La Mesa, Clairemont Mesa, Linda Vista, Mission Bay Park, North Park, Pacific Beach, Peninsula, Southeastern San Diego, and Uptown.RELATED: San Diego shuts down Bankers Hill Airbnb ‘party house’ over COVID-19 concerns, other violations"In this current environment, it’s more important than ever before to prevent large parties and gatherings, and we support the efforts of local officials to put a stop to this irresponsible behavior," said John Choi, Airbnb’s Director of Public Policy in San Diego. Earlier this month, a guest held an unauthorized party at a home in Sacramento County, ending with three people being shot and injured at the party. The house-sharing company has also made it more challenging for some guests under the age of 25 from booking rentals in their region unless they have a number of positive reviews. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego pastor is reflecting Wednesday on his special personal connection with Reverend Billy Graham, who passed away at his home in North Carolina from natural causes at the age of 99.Early in his career in 1949, Graham delivered a sermon at the Forest Home Christian Camp in the San Bernardino Mountains.  Bob Botsford's father ran the camp. Nearly two decades later during one of Graham's return visits to the camp - an excited, 5-year-old Bob interrupted his sermon."I remember yelling out 'Hi Billy!' And he yelled back, 'Hi Bobby,'" said Botsford.By then, Graham had become a family friend."I recall bigger-than-life charisma.  He was the most gentle soul and most humble man I've ever met in my life.  He was bold yet caring," said Botsford.Botsford says Graham inspired him to become a pastor at age 24."His invitation was for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that's what I longed for," said Botsford.Later, it was Botsford who flew to a revival in Kentucky to personally invite Graham to return to San Diego. His last revival was in San Diego almost 30 years before. "He said, 'Let's see if we can make that happen," said Botsford.It did.  In May 2003, a record-breaking crowd packed Qualcomm Stadium to hear him speak."It was electric and just filled with hope," said Botsford.After the event, there was a surprise in the mail.  Botsford received a bible from Graham in the mail, which included a message: "Bob Botsford. God Bless You and Keep You.  Amen.  Billy Graham.""Definitely one of my most treasured possessions," said Botsford.A decade and a half later, he must say goodbye to his friend."I'm sad for the world because we lost the greatest communicator of the gospel, but I'm happy for heaven because Billy is finally home," said Botsford.Botsford is also remembering a legacy.  At Qualcomm Stadium that day, his own son met Graham."I saw my son's eyes light up," said Botsford.The meeting inspired his son, who is now a youth pastor at Botsford's church, Horizon Christian Fellowship in Rancho Santa Fe."Third generation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Scripps Ranch woman who contacted Team 10 about problems with her Samsung refrigerator is now receiving a full refund after Team 10’s story aired.Stephanie Nivinskus bought her Samsung french door refrigerator in December 2014. It cost her nearly ,000. She said she had issues roughly six months after she bought it. "It's been a headache since the beginning," Nivinskus told Team 10 in September.The first problem was the ice maker does not function properly, according to Nivinskus."The ice just gathers and collects up there. It makes it so it doesn't work," Nivinskus said.She also has issues with the temperature of the refrigerator. The FDA says a safe temperature inside a refrigerator is 40 degrees or below. During the initial interview with Team 10, the thermometer inside of Nivinskus' refrigerator read about 56 degrees."Having spoiled food is a real problem," she said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – An emotional sentencing hearing was held downtown Tuesday for a driver behind a fatal Chollas View crash last March.In March, 36-year-old Jacqueline Castillo reportedly had drugs in her system when blew through an intersection in Chollas View, slamming her car into another car, killing 62-year-old Brenda Lee.“I want to put a face to that name. Brenda Doreen Lee was my sister,” said Lee’s brother, Ronnie Lee, as he held her framed photo up for the courtroom and Castillo to see. “You made choices to get loaded. You made choices to drive on a suspended licensed. You made a choice to drive erratically."The crash happened in the early afternoon by an elementary school. Castillo later pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter. “The horrifying images I saw will never be removed from my mind,” said Lee’s son, Myrell Johns. He fought off tears as he described how his family’s life has been destroyed. “I often think about my mother's terrifying thoughts that may have occurred moments before and after the impact of this person's vehicle plowing through my mother's driver side door." Judge Laura Halgren sentenced Castillo to six years in prison. “We're all human but I believe that every mistake doesn't deserve forgiveness,” Johns told the courtroom. 1284
