(KGTV) - The San Diego-based company behind a popular bracelet is in hot water after customers say their advertising falsely led them to believe purchases benefited Costa Rican artists.Pura Vida Bracelets, founded in San Diego by Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman, started out selling bracelets advertised as being made in Costa Rica and benefiting local artisans. Since then, the bracelets have been featured by celebrities and become a popular accessory.This week, the company sent emails to customers apologizing for any confusion over their products. In the email, Pura Vida said they have received customer feedback that their marketing caused confusion as to whether their products are all hand-made in Costa Rica. 765

(KGTV) - San Diegans looking to find a new job - or get a better one - will soon have a new resource to help them get there. Goodwill Industries San Diego is finishing a more than 4,000 square-foot job training center in San Ysidro, which it plans to open Sept. 13. The 0,000 facility is replacing the organization's rack store at 630 Front St. in San Ysidro, which moved to a new location. (KGTV/AP) - Snow is falling the Sierra Nevada mountains as summer winds to an end.Friday is the first day of fall and it is a wet start for California.A rare cool weather system moving south from Oregon is bringing rain and snow showers.National Weather Service forecaster Hanna Chandler says several inches of snow are expected in elevations of at least 6,000 feet of the Northern Sierra.The Weather Service says snow is falling in elevations of around 7,000 feet along the Interstate 80 and highway and 50 corridors. 526

Needless to say, one Sacramento-area California Highway Patrol officer was "shocked" to watch as an overstuffed truck nearly hit an overpass Tuesday.The South Sacramento officer was traveling on State route 50 when he saw the truck's mammoth haul, bags upon bags of bottles and cans, a CHP Facebook post reads. The driver of the truck was still traveling at freeway speeds, with the unsafe load still in tow.After watching the truck's load nearly collide with an overpass, the officer pulled the driver over off and told him to exit the freeway.The driver was given a lawful order to stay parked until he could off load the bottles and cans and transport them a safer way."If you are driving down eastbound US 50 and your load almost hits an over crossing, you might have an unsafe load!!" CHP wrote in a post.According to CHP, California Vehicle Code 2803(a) requires a vehicle's load "to be secure enough to prevent the dropping or shifting of such load onto the roadway." 1089
