FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WCPO) -- A firefighter in Franklin Township, Ohio who posted a racial slur on his Facebook page saying he'd save a dog over a black person has resigned, according to The Journal-News.Tyler Roysdon submitted his resignation late Monday night, township officials told the newspaper, after his racially charged comment got him suspended on Sept. 12.Roysdon’s since-deleted Facebook post has made national news. Ford Motor Company has launched a new program that will allow customers who buy a new car to return the vehicle if they lose their job within a year of the purchase."We feel like right now, the economy is at the stage of recovery where people want things to be back to normal, they want to buy, but they're still a little nervous about what the future holds," Mark LaNeve, Ford's vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service said. "We want them to know we understand that, and we're here to support them in their buying decisions."Under the "Ford Promise" program, customers who lease or purchase a vehicle with Ford Credit financing and then lose their job within a year can return the vehicle.Ford Credit will value the vehicle using the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) average trade-in value, reduce the customer's outstanding balance by that amount and waive up to an additional ,000. The customer is responsible for covering any remaining balance.In addition, the customer is responsible for outstanding late or deferred payments and any vehicle damage. Former NBA star Lamar Odom is recovering after collapsing at a Los Angeles nightclub over the weekend. His reps say he was dehydrated and that he had an intense workout earlier in the day. TMZ has cell phone video of the collapse. Firefighters battling the Holy Fire in Southern California took care of a dehydrated fawn Monday afternoon. Officials with the Cleveland National Forest tweeted that the firefighters stumbled upon the fawn and discovered she was heat exhausted and dehydrated. The men can be seen in a photo giving the fawn a much-needed drink of water before helping get her back on her feet.  410
