She’s charged with felony evading, driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest.Sussman tried to explain to the judge why she didn’t stop. “Regarding the chase, I was a victim of police brutality on October 28th.”According to a police report, the October 28 case involves Sussman and her neighbor, a Border Patrol agent. In that case, she’s charged with burglary, making criminal threats, vandalism and other charges.On December 30, police tried pulling her over on that warrant, finally arresting her after that chase on I-5.If convicted on the charges connected to the chase, Sussman faces more than six years in prison. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect in a Serra Mesa stabbing that left two people in critical condition Saturday night.Officers responded around 7:51 p.m. to a call of a brawl outside of a house party on the 8400 block of Neva Avenue, police said. At least two people were located with stab wounds to the torso.A resident told 10News described hearing people fighting outside his home. He tried to intervene but the suspect disappeared.“I rushed out to see if I could stop them from doing anything and by the time I think they already left the scene," said Turk Sapta.The unidentified victims were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.No description of the suspect or suspects was given at this time.Stay with 10News for updates to this developing story. 813

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- National City police are searching for the driver linked to a hit-and-run crash that killed a skateboarder earlier this month.Police said on July 10, at around 12:30 a.m., 28-year-old Victor Ernest Morales was riding his skateboard northbound on the street in the 500 block of Palm Avenue when he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle at a high rate of speed.The vehicle sped away, leaving Morales on the road, police said. He suffered major injuries and later died.According to police, Morales’ girlfriend and a friend were with him at the time of the incident.The vehicle in the case is believed to be a silver-colored, 4-door, 1999-2002 Toyota Echo. Police said the vehicle likely has damage to the front driver’s side, as well as damage to the driver’s side headlight and windshield.A surveillance camera captured a photo of the vehicle believed to be involved in the collision, and police are asking any businesses in the area that may have video of the vehicle before or after the crash to contact them.Investigators are also asking vehicle repair shops to be on the lookout for the vehicle due to its damage from the crash.Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the National City Police Department’s Investigations Unit at 619-336-4474 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.A reward of up to ,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case. 1434

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Naval Base Point Loma was locked down Thursday over reports of a suspicious person.In a Facebook post, the base said "all personnel onboard the installation are directed to seek shelter in the nearest building and activate lock down procedure" and remain inside until told otherwise. The lockdown was lifted just before 2 p.m. and Harbor Drive was reopened to traffic. The base told 10News that it appeared the caller believed to have seen a suspicious person, but the person in question was not believed to be a threat.The base added the Gateway Youth Center and Patrick Wade CDC had been taken off lockdown and parents allowed to pick up their children.10News is monitoring this breaking news. 722
