WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi has reaffirmed that the affairs of Hong Kong fall within China's domestic affairs, in which no countries have the right to interfere, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said here on Sunday.
The Chinese leader said that he is looking forward to exchanging views with all parties at the upcoming SCO summit on major issues of the organization as well as international and regional issues of common concern, charting the future development of the SCO and promoting cooperation in all aspects.
Meanwhile, countries should uphold the principles of growth, inclusiveness and cooperation and ensure that the UN's post-2015 development agenda will be adopted next year, which is aimed at eradicating poverty and realizing common development, Zhang said.
He recalled that during this year, China and ASEAN countries jointly organized a variety of over 100 activities including cultural show, film week, car rally which were welcomed by peoples of respective countries.
The recent establishment of the BRICS Development Bank to be headquartered in Shanghai and the decision to locate its African Regional Center in South Africa not only raises the level of cooperation between China and South Africa in addressing global challenges, but it is yet another clear indicator of South Africa's growing significance in driving the African Agenda, the minister said.
