BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) - A man who police say was run over with a lawn mower while trying to kill his son with a chainsaw has had to have his leg amputated.The Bristol Herald Courier reports that a warrant for 76-year-old Douglas Ferguson couldn't be served until Tuesday because of the severity of his injuries.According to a Sullivan County Sheriff's Office release, officers called to a home June 28 found Ferguson bleeding from his leg and head. A preliminary investigation indicated he had tried to attack his son with a running chainsaw while he son mowed the yard.Detectives say the father and son had an ongoing feud.Ferguson is charged with attempted second-degree murder and violating probation. It's unclear whether he has a lawyer to comment on his behalf. 773

Boeing has unveiled its newest line of business jets, which the company says will allow VIP travelers to fly nonstop between "any two cities on Earth."The BBJ 777X planes will have a range of 11,645 nautical miles (21,570 km), enabling them to offer the longest commercial flight in the world.Depending on which routes the jets are used on, the new models mean Boeing could wrestle the crown for farthest nonstop travel away from Airbus.Earlier this year, Singapore Airlines resumed its 17-hour flights between London and Singapore on Airbus A350-900 ULR (Ultra-Long Range) jets.But the distance traveled on the record-breaking flights is a mere 9,000 nautical miles (16,700 kilometers), putting it below the range Boeing's new jets are capable of.The planes "can fly more than halfway around the world without stopping, farther than any business jet ever built," the company said in a statement."Our most exclusive customers want to travel with the best space and comfort and fly directly to their destination. The new BBJ 777X will be able to do this like no other airplane before it, redefining ultra-long range VIP travel," Greg Laxton, head of Boeing Business Jets, added at the Middle East Business Aviation Association Show (MEBAA).The jets could be used to connect New York City with Perth in Western Australia, a journey which currently requires a connection and takes more than a day to make.Two versions of the jets have been made, the BBJ 777-8 and 777-9, with the latter offering a slightly shorter range of 11,000 nautical miles (20,370 kilometers) but boasting a larger cabin.The company has released renderings of the plane's interior, although it has not sold any of the planes yet.Other business jets produced by Boeing include the BBJ MAX and high-performance versions of its 787 Dreamliner.Since forming in 1996, Boeing Business Jets has delivered 234 jets on 261 orders. 1909

"I am not immune to some of the stresses and anxieties that moms are thinking of right now."Richardson is a doctor on staff at West Boca Medical Center, seeing patients and delivering babies."My medical training does give me a little more perspective, and that allows me to be able to work and not feel too anxious," she said.Richardson said she's no stranger to being pregnant in difficult times. Her first baby was born during the Zika outbreak. She's now taking extra steps to honor her commitment to her patients, while keeping her family safe."I come home and take what my husband calls my decontamination bath," she said. "Leave my clothes outside, shoes outside."Richardson said the questions from pregnant women are plentiful right now."First and foremost, I tell my moms to take a deep breath, right," she said. "You are in good hands."Richardson said the number one feeling she gets from patients is anxiety and fear of the unknown. Some of that, she believes, stems from anxiety about whether or not a support person will be allowed in the hospital with a laboring mother. So far, the answer is yes."Everyone in the room, including themselves will have a mask on. that makes them feel better," she said.It's a feeling West Boca Medical Center acknowledges."People coming to us at a wonderful time and an anxious time," said George Rizzuto, the CEO at West Boca Medical Center. BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Health is looking into allegations that a former administrator at Emerald South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo, New York molested a patient.A health department spokesperson tells WKBW the department is aware of claims that the assistant director of nursing was fired after being caught touching a resident inappropriately. In a separate incident, the same administrator allegedly bit a resident. "We are aware of these allegations and we are investigating. As this remains an active investigation, we cannot comment further," said health department spokesperson Jeffrey Hammond. Emerald South has already been under investigation by the state health department for two recent incidents involving the deaths of residents.In June, 87 year-old William Strasner fell to his death after police say he tried to escape from a third-floor window. In August 2016, 83 year-old Ruth Murray died after she was attacked by a male patient in the facility's dementia unit. Anyone who has a complaint or concern about nursing homes in New York State can call the Centralized Complaint Intake at 1-888-201-4563. BEECH GROVE, Ind. — A man has been arrested after he recorded himself dumping a bag of flour onto the head of a 68-year-old woman at a Beech Grove, Indiana Walmart on Wednesday. An off-duty IMPD officer working at the Walmart on Emerson Avenue just after 10 a.m. when he was informed of the incident. The 68-year-old woman was shopping in the store when a man she didn't know snuck up behind her and dumped an entire bag of flour on her head. The suspect, Phillip Weaver, 22, recorded the incident on Facebook Live and shared it on his social media page. Weaver was arrested Thursday afternoon. He's been preliminarily charged with battery, theft, theft of a firearm and criminal mischief in reference to that incident. Final charges will be determined by the Marion County Prosecutor's office. The incident remains under investigation.  A quick view at Weaver's social media pages shows that he regularly records himself doing what he calls "pranks" to other people in public places and shares them with his followers.
