SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Surveillance video captures in "disturbing" peeper outside a home in Old Town, as a teenage girl slept inside.Steve rents a home along Jefferson Street. Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, he was close by with some friends when he got an alert on his phone."Just a feeling of alarm," said Steve.A stunned Steve saw video of a man outside his home, just staring. The cameras capture an older, balding man on the side of the home. His left hand is in his pants, as he peers into the windows."Behavior was really creepy," said Steve.Steve called police and raced home. His 15-year-old daughter was inside, asleep on the couch. In the video, the man keeps looking inside, though all the blinds are closed. His hand is still where it is."My immediate concern is that the guy is going to break a window or climb in the house," said Steve.After peering in the windows, he goes around the back and out of camera range. When he reappears, he decides to smoke before taking yet another look."He was so comfortable in my space looking in my windows and doing what he may have been doing," said Steve.Not long after, police arrive and take him into custody. The video shows he had been outside the home for some 30 minutes. Police say there was not enough evidence a crime had been committed and the man was released after an hour. Steve is still hoping to get the word out on the stranger and the odd behavior he fears could escalate."Probably has done it before and will do it again. Next time, he may go inside the house and decide to do something more than looking in a window," said Steve.Though charges haven't been filed, anyone with information on the case is asked to call San Diego Police at 619-531-2000. 1719

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – The American Red Cross of San Diego/Imperial Counties opened a shelter Thursday night for residents displaced by flooding from heavy rainstorms.The shelter opened around 9:30 p.m. at the Paradise Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church on East 8th Street in National City.Services include a safe and clean place to stay, food, hydration, comfort kits with personal hygiene items, emotional support and health services, according to the Red Cross. The shelter will stay open as long as there is a need.In response to the flooding caused by today’s rainstorms, #RedCross disaster workers are working to open a shelter this evening at the Paradise Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church (2701 East 8th Street, National City, CA 91950). SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Surveillance video and photographs were released Tuesday in the search for three men suspected of an armed robbery at a Mission Valley apartment complex. The men approached a man and woman in the parking structure of the Millennium Apartments at 5080 Camino Del Arroyo at 11:30 p.m. Mar. 20, San Diego Police said. Officers said the men spoke Spanish and told the victims, “Give me everything you have! Fast!” The men took luggage and a purse from the victims and were last seen running onto Camino del Rio North, according to investigators.Police believe the men may have driven away from the area in a white, early 2000’s Hyundai Sonata or Kia Optima eastbound on Camino del Rio North, then north on Camino del Arroyo. The first man was Hispanic, 26 to 32 years old, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, white shoes, and a black hat with white lettering. Police said the second man was Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old, with a stocky build. He had on a black t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes with white accents, and a black hat. The third man was Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, with an athletic build, black and silver Raiders track jacket, black pants, black shoes with white accents, and a black hat. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The Golden Knights offered a spectacular preview aboard the USS Midway, landing on the flight deck. The event was part of the museums Army Day celebration. The day began with an enlistment ceremony. A Japanese-American World War II veteran read the oath of enlistment to the Army’s newest recruits. The celebration marks the first event of its kind aboard the Midway.
