SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a woman in a surgical mask reportedly robbed a 7-Eleven early Sunday morning. According to police, the robbery happened on the 7800 block of Balboa Avenue just before 3:30 a.m. Police say the woman, believed to be in her 40s or 50s, walked into the store and demanded cash while simulating having a weapon. "We don't want them patrolling, we don't want them supervising, we don't want them to have any authority over people. According to San Diego Police, a man’s body was found on the 9400 block of Friars Road near SDCCU Stadium around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Police say a preliminary investigation revealed signs of “possible trauma to the upper body.”“Out of an abundance of caution, San Diego Police Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are currently investigating the incident,” the department said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a 19-year-old was shot in Chicano Park Wednesday night. According to San Diego Police, the teen was walking with a group of men in the park just before 7 p.m. when an argument broke out and an unknown suspect pulled out a handgun. Several shots were fired at the 19-year-old, who was hit twice by the gunfire, police say. The victim ran away from the scene and was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance. He sustained non-life threatening injuries, police say. Both the victim and acquaintance were unable to provide any details about the shooting.
