He shows us how to make our own businesses and how to progress more.”His brother Amir Bailey will be working with him.“I’m learning how to keep myself in check, how to interact with others, and how to keep my areas clean,” Amir said.The head that bears the crown didn’t come this way.Before starting his first snowball stand outside of the Terra Cafe Benbow Jr. was in prison for 7 years.Taking that time to grow.“I want to barber school, computer repair, fiber optics,” Benbow Jr. said. “Got half of my degree in sociology so that means I know how to speak to individuals.”Jordan Matthews was the first Knight to join the court.“He’s a black-owned business and he’s helping people by taking them off the streets and helping them work and get that money for the summer and stuff,” Matthews said.Benbow Jr. said he kept coming around so he offered him a job.“Now Jordan is able to run all run operations by himself,” said Benbow Jr. “He doesn’t need no adult no supervision or anything out here.”Every Knight gets a binder with a schedule and the 3 simple principals they have to abide by.Check your hygiene and appearance always.Make eye contact with customers and number one- no belt no work.“We can’t get upset at nobody else if we’re not physically doing it,” said Benbow Jr. “If we’re not physically grabbing them and putting the belts on them. If you knew the world was about to end, where would you go? I'm guessing, Kansas isn't the answer. But, it probably should be.Down a long dirt road in the middle of Glasco, Kansas there is a bunker that can withstand a nuclear bomb, earthquake, tornado, terrorist attack and even a pandemic. It's called Survival Condo. In the late 1960's it was a missile silo, but as modern technology quickly progressed, the old silo was forgotten about. However, 10 years ago Larry Hall purchased the bunker. He decided to build a luxury survival complex for the wealthy if Armageddon were ever to happen. The bunker sits 201 feet below ground. It takes less than 30 seconds to go from the top floor to the bottom. Each condominium cost three million dollars. The complex is self-sustaining and includes plenty of amenities. It has an indoor pool, dog park, spa, gym, cinema, grocery store, a hospital and a hydroponics room; which allows them to be self-sustaining. Survival Condo is also self-sustaining when it comes to power. They have batteries that last for 15 years, wind turbines, and two generators to keep the entire complex up and running. Larry Hall says, even if the world never comes to an end, residents who own a Survival Condo can still use the underground bunker as a vacation destination. 1322

(KGTV) -- Imperial Beach is known for its surfing, sandcastle competitions, and stunning pier, and now you can add scavenger hunt to the list, with a July event created to showcase the city's history and culture."We really want to make sure we're providing something that gives people the opportunity to get out and enjoy the community," says Imperial Beach City Councilman Mark West.Imperial Beach has partnered with IB Active and the San Diego Bike Coalition to put on the scavenger hunt. "It hunts down beautiful and historical places throughout our community, and it's been a great event," says West.Families can make their way around Imperial Beach searching for clues, problem solving, and completing tasks."We've had over 200 families throughout Imperial Beach who are out every weekend riding their bikes, looking for clues on the Scavify app."West says the scavenger hunt is quite fun, and you might call it "The Amazing Race," Imperial Beach style"It is very similar, but we don't quite go to the extremes they do. It is very fun and a lot about solving problems. I mean there are questions on there like where is the oldest house in IB?" says West.Family fun is what it's all about, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We wanted to provide something for our community that could get them out as a family, and enjoy the outdoors.
