(KGTV) -- A man suspected in a reported domestic disturbance led sheriff’s deputies on brief pursuit and then barricaded himself in a Lakeside home for several hours before finally surrendering.At around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, San Diego County sheriff’s officials said deputies were dispatched to a home in the 11600 block of Hi Ridge Road in Lakeside over a domestic disturbance report.According to officials, a woman had locked herself in a bedroom with her two children and was “hiding from the estranged father of the children who was inside her home.”When deputies arrived at the scene, they saw a man -- later identified as 39-year-old Dustin Banzhof -- drive away from the home, prompting deputies to pursue him. Banzhof eventually made his way back to the house on Hi Ridge Road.Deputies believed Banzhof was armed with a gun and had fired it multiples times, possibly in the direction of deputies. One deputy returned fire, forcing the suspect to head inside the home and he refused to come out.It is unknown how many shots were fired.Banzhof finally came out of the house at around 2:30 a.m. Monday and surrendered to deputies.According to sheriff’s officials, Banzhof was arrested on multiple unspecified charges. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but no other details were released.No injuries were reported in the incident.Officials said the sheriff’s Homicide Unit is investigating the matter. 1437

(KGTV) — Authorities are offering up to ,000 for tips leading to the arrest of the person who burglarized a gun shop in La Mesa last month.At about 11 p.m. on May 30, an unknown man burglarized Alex Imports Gun Shop located at 7839 University Ave. in La Mesa, according to the ATF. One of the reasons is because more people are dying by suicide.At just 27 years old, Ashlynne Haycock has faced a series of unimaginable tragedies.Her dad died while on active duty with the Army. Years later, her mother, who was also a veteran, died by suicide.“It’s not about wanting to die,” Haycock says. “It’s about not wanting to be in pain any longer, and my mom was in a lot of pain from her own military service, from losing my dad, from being alone. She struggled.”The suicide rates in the US are now at their highest levels in 50 years, according to the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC). The numbers have jumped so much, suicides are partly to blame for a drop in US life expectancy.Most Americans now live an average of 78 years and six months, a slight drop from last year and lower the third year in a row.“I think, we as country, really need to focus on making suicide prevention a public health issue,” Haycock says. “Making sure that it’s something people know if they get treatment, treatment works.” Sadly, Haycock learned that first-hand.“I attempted suicide myself after my mom died, and my friends got me treatment,” Haycock says. “And I’m so grateful every day that I didn’t succeed.”Now, Haycock works for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, an organization that supports military families who have lost loved ones, including those in so much pain they took their own lives. 1514

Nearly two weeks later, Wynn is now suing the dancer's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, for defamation.According to Bloom, Wynn would often visit rehearsals for "Showstoppers," where he would instruct the female dancers to "strip down to bras and panties, put on heels, and apply extra makeup so as to be sexually appealing."But Wynn denies ever asking the performers to strip down. The lawsuit against Bloom states that Wynn was "almost always accompanied by either his wife and/or other individuals."
