A Baltimore County, Maryland police officer was killed in the line of duty in Perry Hall, Maryland on Monday. According to Baltimore County Police, around 2 p.m. they received a call for a suspicious vehicle in the unit-block of Linwen Way. Police say the officer responded to the scene when she encountered a suspect or suspects. They say she suffered significant critical injuries and was later transported to Franklin Square Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m.The officer was a 4-year veteran with the police force and was expecting an anniversary this July.Officials said there were multiple suspects involved but they are actively searching for at least one suspect.During a press conference, Cpl. Shawn Vinson said detectives determined that there was a house on Linwen Way that has damage to a patio door. The damage indicated that it may have been a burglary in progress.Baltimore County Police are searching for an armed suspect and they are expanding the scene. 1120

Safety protocols require masks in clubhouses and close proximity indoors, but not on the field. San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. has often sported a face mask during practices at Petco Park, among a handful of other players.The Friars have had two players test positive for COVID-19 since summer training camps resumed. A 3-year-old Mesa, Arizona boy was found crying next to his passed out father near a Mesa business.Mesa police report that on May 11, they responded to a business near Stapley Drive and Baseline Road for a man unconscious outside a business. An employee found 33-year-old David Rodriguez passed out with his 3-year-old son standing next to him, crying. Police woke up Rodriguez, but he reportedly kept dozing off as police were questioning him. He did not know where he was or how he got there. He also could not tell police how old his son was. Police located his car in the parking lot with the keys still in the ignition. They also allegedly found several open beer cans in the vehicle. Rodriguez has been charged with child abuse. 777
