Exactly one week ago was the last time anyone saw little Maleah Davis.Darion Vence, the 4-year-old's stepfather, initially told police that he was driving to a Houston airport with Maleah and her 1-year-old brother on May 3 when he was attacked and the three were abducted by three Hispanic men. The abductors eventually dumped Vence and the boy alongside a road, he said, but Maleah was gone. 405

DENVER, Colorado — The body of the 7-year-old boy found dead inside a Denver storage shed last month was encased in concrete, two law enforcement sources have confirmed to KMGH television station. The state of Caden McWilliams’ body when it was found was first reported by The Denver Post and confirmed by KMGH via law enforcement sources from different agencies who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. The coroner’s office has not formally identified the boy as McWilliams, but law enforcement authorities did so last week when they announced the arrest of his mother, 43-year-old Elisha Pankey, in the case.Pankey was charged Monday morning with child abuse resulting in death and abuse of a corpse in the case. She turned herself in to police last Wednesday. The boy’s body was discovered in a storage unit in the 5000 block of E. Evans Avenue in Denver on Dec. 23, but court documents and police have said the boy could have died as early as last May. Police and Denver Public Schools have indicated the boy missed the last week of school in May.The boy’s body was discovered inside the storage unit after Aurora police asked Denver police to help in a missing persons case involving McWilliams on Dec. 23. Aurora officers had arrested Pankey a day earlier on suspicion of drug possession charges.Pankey’s husband, Leland Pankey, was in court last week on charges that he strangled his wife in 2017. Leland Pankey was arrested on Dec. 21 – about a year after that original incident allegedly occurred. 1557

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — More than a day after 24 people were killed and hundreds more injured in a series of severe storms and tornadoes in the areas surrounding Nashville, 21 people are still missing. The 21 missing people — five of whom are children — are all from Putnam County, located east of downtown Nashville. The county was one of the hardest hit areas of the storms Tuesday morning, with 18 people already pronounced dead in the county. Eighty-eight people in the county were treated for injuries relating to the storm. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said they've searched about 60% of the area, and they've been checking places all night that were in the tornado's path.Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris said there's a possibility that officials could find some missing people when they launch a particular area Wednesday morning."An approximately 20-acre field that is located between Echo Valley Estates and North McBroom Chapel Road. That area is a field area that is marshy, that is 6 or 7 feet tall. It's a slow process. The way the tornado traveled, there's a lot of debris down there," Farris said. The clean-up efforts are going to take quite some time. Fifteen law enforcement agencies are teaming up to help out for the next few days. They are hoping to have all demolished structures checked-out by the end of the day Wednesday.Officials identified the missing people as:Rachel BaughmanKatherine JulianPenny Penelope ColeDwight GentryDavid PhillipsMaureen Langford & Andi OtisTommy KnightRobin & Bethany BabbJoey DedemicisJoe Murphy JrDenton NelsonDouglas LoftisRick StegillRyan PackinghanSteven MayoKarissa SolbergBreanna ShelbyJoyce WilsonCleburn RiceAnyone searching for a loved one can call the county helpline at 931-646-4630. Donald Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen is prepared to testify that Trump was aware of longtime adviser Roger Stone's efforts to reach out to WikiLeaks in advance of its release of damaging information about Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, according to a copy of his public testimony submitted to Congress and obtained by CNN.In a stunning 20-page statement provided Tuesday night to lawmakers, Cohen details a wide range of allegations against Trump -- from making racist comments about African-Americans to participating during his presidency in an illegal hush-money scheme to keep his alleged extramarital affairs quiet -- as well as suggesting Trump faked a medical condition to get out of serving in the Vietnam War.And Cohen will provide new details saying Trump was engaged in an aggressive pursuit of a major project in Russia in 2016, alleging the President's attorneys edited Cohen's 2017 testimony when he lied to Congress, downplaying the efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. He says Trump never directly ordered him to lie to Congress but he believed he was carrying out an order given his interactions with Trump, who was making public statements about not having any business dealings with Russia. In short, Cohen calls Trump a "racist," a "conman" and a "cheat." 1308
