BOSTON (AP) — The World Series opens in October chill on Tuesday night, with Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw pitching at Fenway Park for the first time and facing a Red Sox team that had the best record in baseball.Kershaw will confront a lineup loaded with the likes of Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez that carried Boston to 108 wins this season.Chris Sale gets the start for Boston, pitching 10 days after his last outing and nine after he was hospitalized with what the team called a "stomach illness." What precisely was wrong with Sale is unclear. He joked — possibly — that it was from a piercing gone bad.Forecasts call for the temperature to be around 50 degrees for the first pitch a little after 8 p.m., with a drop as the night goes on. 762

Beyoncé sent a letter to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron on Sunday, demanding justice for Breonna Taylor.Taylor was shot and killed in her home on March 13 after police executed a no-knock warrant during a narcotics investigation. Taylor's boyfriend fired at police, thinking they were intruders. Police then returned fire, shooting and killing Taylor. No drugs were found in the home.Last week, the city of Louisville banned the use of no-knock warrants with "Breonna's Law." Later, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, introduced legislation that would ban no-knock warrants across the country. However, for Beyoncé, that's not enough. In her letter, she asked that the officers involved be held accountable for their actions. She mentioned that no arrests have been made in connection with Taylor's death, and the officers involved still have their jobs with the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).Beyoncé asked for three things in her letter. Those are:Bring criminal charges against the police officers involved in Taylor's death: Jonathan Mattingly, Myles Cosgrove, and Brett HankisonCommit to transparency in the investigation and prosecution of these officers' criminal conductInvestigate the LMPD's response to Breonna Taylor's murder, as well as the pervasive practices that result in the repeated deaths of unarmed Black citizens"With every death of a Black person at the hands of police, there are two real tragedies: the death itself, and the inaction and delays that follow it. This is your chance to end that pattern," Beyoncé wrote. "Take swift and decisive action in charging the officers. The next months cannot look like the last three."The full letter can also be found on Beyoncé's website. This story was originally published by Julia Marshall on WTMJ in Milwaukee. 1800

BERLIN (AP) — The United States has formally left the Paris Agreement, a global pact forged five years ago to avert the threat of catastrophic climate change. Wednesday's move was long threatened by U.S. President Donald Trump and triggered by his administration a year ago. It further isolates the United States in the world but has no immediate impact on international efforts to curb global warming. There are 189 countries remain committed to the 2015 accord, which aims to keep the increase in average temperatures worldwide “well below” 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. Scientists say that any rise beyond 2 degrees Celsius could have a devastating impact on large parts of the world, raising sea levels, stoking tropical storms and worsening droughts and floods. 797

Barron Trump, the teenage son of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, was among those in the White House who tested positive for the coronavirus in recent weeks. In a post authored by the first lady, she recalled her experience with the coronavirus.“Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms,” Melania Trump said. “In one way I was glad the three of us went through this at the same time so we could take care of one another and spend time together. He has since tested negative."The first lady said that her symptoms from the coronavirus were “minimal.”“I was very fortunate as my diagnosis came with minimal symptoms, though they hit me all at once and it seemed to be a roller coaster of symptoms in the days after,” Melania Trump wrote. “I experienced body aches, a cough and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time. I chose to go a more natural route in terms of medicine, opting more for vitamins and healthy food. We had wonderful caretakers around us and we will be forever grateful for the medical care and professional discretion we received from Dr. (Sean) Conley and his team.”President Trump confirmed he and the first lady tested positive for the coronavirus in the early morning hours of October 2. Later that day, the president was admitted into Walter Reed Medical Center after seeing a high fever and difficulty breathing.Trump spent 72 hours in the hospital before returning to the White House. Conley said that Trump has since tested negative, which has allowed him to return to the campaign trail.Several dozen officials and visitors to the White House have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in recent weeks. 1683

BROOKFIELD -- You may not know the chemical used in your A/C, but that may soon change. The U.S. government will soon stop the manufacturing of a chemical, eating away at the ozone. It is called 'R-22.'R-22 contains chlorine that can deplete the ozone when exposed. This is why it will no longer be manufactured or imported in the United States, starting in 2020. The price has skyrocketed since this announcement.Eble Park Ice Arena in Brookfield, Wisconsin has been using this type of freon since it opened nearly 30 years ago.The facility is owned by the Waukesha County Park System. The county has made about 0,000 in upgrades to this ice rink.Waukesha County Park System Director Duane Grimm said that is a far better deal than switching over to a common chemical used these days, such as ammonia."This will save us money to replace all the chiller plant here we would also have to replace the floor all the piping under the floor," Grimm said. "If we did this you're kind of looking at million to .5 million. This may affect you at home. Air conditioning units before the 2010 cutoff most likely still use the outdated refrigerant, if you spot 'R-22' or 'R-410A' on your compressor unit. You could still buy some recycled R-22 after the cutoff date in two years. It's going to be expensive. An instructor at MATC tells us it will run you about 0 dollars for just 30 pounds. For more information on 'R-22' Freon, visit the EPA's website.  1473
