Retail giant Target announced that they are giving out more than million in bonuses to frontline employees ahead of the holiday shopping season.On Monday, the company said that more than 350,000 employees - which includes employees who work in stores, the distribution centers, and seasonal hires - will all receive a 0 bonus."In a year like no other, I'm proud of what this team has accomplished and grateful for the care and connection they've provided our guests and communities," said Melissa Kremer, Target's chief HR officer, in a blog post. President Trump may be finding pockets of support from inside the very state he's suing.It's because a growing number of local governments are considering joining the administration's fight against California's new sanctuary laws.One of those laws prohibits state and local authorities from notifying federal immigration when they arrest an undocumented immigrant. There are exceptions for serious and violent crimes. Escondido Mayor Sam Abed opposes the sanctuary laws, and hopes his City Council will do the same and file a legal brief in support of the federal suit. (KGTV) - The Fund for the Animals Wildlife Center is at capacity while it cares for a record number of patients.At the center, experts rehabilitate animals they hope to release back into the wild. Most of the predators are kept in the back of the 13 acre property to keep humans from imprinting on them, affecting their ability to survive after release.Staff take extreme care and 'secretly' feed their animals.From January 1to July 1, the center cared for 588 animals. As of Friday, they're currently caring for more than 100, and at capacity.Some of their animals documented in pictures provided to 10News, like an orphaned badger, the first badger the center has had in 20 years. They also have a Great-Horned Owl which was hit by a car."Our patients are one of three things, they're unfortunately orphaned, or ill or injured," director Matt Anderson said.They've seen 35 percent more patients compared to the same time last year, meaning they're caring for 154 more animals."It's what we call baby season, everybody expects it, it's a hectic time, all hands to the deck, the staff are wonderful so we're pushing forward and already have some success stories," Anderson said.The Center is funded through donations and The Humane Society of the US, those dollars critical now more than ever. Another factor behind the boom, higher rain levels meant more food all the way up the food chain."Lots more plant life, and lots more to eat for the prey items that our predators eat," he said that's also what brings predators into our neighborhoods."They're really really good at finding their own food, and so it's best to let them alone in their habitat and enjoy them from a distance," Anderson said.Reminding us how important it is to leave the animals alone so they can survive, go back into that sensitive ecosystem and keep it in balance. 1863

Renowned Tulsa saxophonist and Race Massacre survivor, Hal Singer, has passed away, just a few months shy of his 101st birthday.The French city of Chatou announced the news of his death. Singer resided in the town for more than 20 years."Weakened in recent years, Hal Singer has passed out peacefully surrounded by his wife and family," the release stated.Singer, who was born in Tulsa on Oct. 8, 1919, would go on to have an "exceptional 70-year career, from Duke Ellington to Ray Charles, to Billie Holiday," the release said.According to the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame website, Singer topped the R&B charts in Sept. 1948 with his instrumental recording "Corn Bread.""The City just lost a friend, an artist, and a great man," the release concluded. The rock sits about 60 feet off Sunset Cliff Boulevard in the ocean.This is the fifth sculpture to go up there.Statutes of this sort have become an annual ritual, but it remains unknown who makes the pieces, and how they get up there. Other sculptures include a pterodactyl, a giant crab, a Christmas tree and a tiki head. 546
