HUNTINGTON BEACH (CNS) - A 60-year-old Huntington Beach woman who went missing while walking her dog in the Bristlecone Pine Forest in Inyo County was found alive Monday on the fourth day of an intensive search.Inyo County sheriff's officials announced shortly after 2 p.m. that Sheryl Powell had been found near the Montenegro Springs area, near the area where her dog had been found earlier in the day.``Searchers describe her as resilient and strong but exhausted after being lost in an extremely remove area above Big Pine,'' according to the sheriff's office.She was being taken to a hospital to be checked out. Powell was reported missing by her husband at about 2 p.m. Friday, Inyo County sheriff's officials said.Powell's husband told deputies they had just arrived at a campsite and she took their 5-pound, black-and-white dog for a walk while he was parking their Jeep. When he got out of the vehicle, she was nowhere to be found, officials said.Powell's husband told deputies he searched for almost an hour before contacting authorities, officials said.A California Highway Patrol helicopter with a thermal imaging device flew over the area and the Inyo County sheriff Search and Rescue team began searching immediately, sheriff's officials said.The air and ground search continued over the weekend, officials said. 1334

Hunters in the Florida Everglades continue to pull out some massive pythons in an attempt to eliminate the invasive species from the Sunshine State.The South Florida Water Management District on Wednesday posted a video that showed famed python hunter Dusty Crum with one of his recent catches -- a 16-foot, 11-inch whopper!The snake broke Crum's own record for the longest snake caught as part of SFWMD's Python Elimination Program.The district said Crum captured the python late last Thursday.Since the program began in late March, hunters have removed 638 invasive pythons from the Everglades. 624

In another sign of the times for retail, Lowe's is closing 51 North American stores.The home improvement chain said Monday that locations are underperforming and the decision will help the hardware chain focus on its most profitable stores and "improve the overall health of its store portfolio."Lowe's (LOW) is shutting down 20 stores in the U.S. and 31 in Canada. The company said that a "majority" of the shuttered stores are within 10 miles of another Lowe's location.The stores will be closed before Feb. 1, 2019. The company will try to find jobs at nearby stores for its employees affected by the closings."We believe our people are the foundation of our business and essential to our future growth," said CEO Marvin R. Ellison.Lowe's is struggling to keep up with its larger rival Home Depot. But if you look hard enough - something else is trying to take over.Limebike is a tech company that deals in two wheels.It's been a busy week for Colin McMahon, a manager at Limebike."On Friday we started rolling them out through all the weekend and now we are up to 200 bikes through operations," McMahon said.Limebike's mobile app is launching in Imperial Beach, its eighth city."A lot of curiosity so almost every time we brought a bike out of the truck people were asking what is this bike how does it work," McMahon said.Riders download the app, enter their credit card number and scan the back of the bike they want to ride.Even 4th grader, Jacquin Hallaway, can figure it out."I think it's fun that you can like rent a bike," Hallaway said.Unfortunately, not everyone has been behaving with the bikes.Someone in Seattle stuck one on a power pole but don't count out San Diego's shenanigans."There was one that was thrown off the pier.
