JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli archaeologists have announced the discovery of a trove of early Islamic gold coins during recent salvage excavations near the central city of Yavne. The collection of 425 complete gold coins, most dating to the Abbasid period around 1,100 years ago, is an "extremely rare" find. Israel Antiquities Authorities archaeologists said on Monday that the discovery was among the largest caches of ancient coins found in Israel. (KGTV) - Neighbors are calling for more safety measures after surveillance video captured a fiery collision at an intersection in Jamul.A week ago, just before 5 p.m., Marc Burnett was opening up his off-road racing shop along Campo Road, when he heard it."I heard the skid marks hitting, and then I heard the boom," said Burnett.He ran outside and was greeted by flames."I just saw flames in the air. I saw a lot of flames. I saw the guy on the ground. He was on fire," said Burnett.Burnett raced back inside."I got the fire extinguisher, and had to put the motorcycle out -- and him," said Burnett.Burnett says the motorcycle driver, a man in his 30s, suffered serious burns to his hands and legs, but survived."He was very lucky that he survived," said Burnett.Burnett even more amazed when he looked at his surveillance video.In it you can see the truck pulling into the intersection from Maxfield Road and stop, before the eastbound motorcycle slams into the side of the truck, exploding into flames."Very scary to see that video. Didn’t know it was that bad until I saw it," said Burnett.Sadly, it was not unfamiliar.Burnett, who’s been in the area for more than 15 years, says he’s seen the aftermath of some eight serious accidents at that intersection, including a person killed crossing the road."It’s kind of a blind turn ... People coming out where the truck coming out ... It's hard to judge," said Burnett.Burnett is now lobbying for a traffic light at that intersection, which is often busy with casino traffic."Drivers are passing semi trucks on the turn. It's dangerous. James Shaw never intended to become a hero when he walked into Waffle House on Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch, Tennessee at 3 a.m. on Sunday, but the 29-year-old single father likely saved dozens of lives when he managed to wrestle a loaded AR-15 from the hands of a gunman.James and his friend BJ McMurry had been at a bar nearby on Saturday night. They had initially stopped at the Waffle House on Bell Road but decided it was too crowded and instead drove to the Murfreesboro Pike restaurant, not knowing the chaos and carnage that would soon unfold.For James, a Tennessee State University graduate, the gunfire at first sounded like dozens of plates falling from behind the counter. As the front windows began shattering though, he knew something was wrong."It was pretty chaotic," James said a few hours after the shooting.As Metro Police said Travis Reinking was unloading round after round inside the busy restaurant, James noticed the gun jammed and saw an opportunity to act."It wasn't a process of thinking, it was more of a now... I have to do this now or it's not gonna be. If I let him reload this weapon there won't be another chance. It was like shooting fish in a barrel," James recalled.James Shaw managed to wrestle the weapon from the hands of Travis Reinking. The barrel of the gun was so hot it singed the skin off of his hands and fingers. He would later be taken to the hospital and treated for third degree burns.Metro Police said his actions saved the lives of countless patrons inside the Waffle House but James is still focused on the four people who didn't make it out."I'm sorry I couldn't get to them any faster. KENOSHA, Wis. – The city of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is taking stock of the damage left in the wake of unrest following the shooting of Jacob Blake. As President Donald Trump made his first visit to Kenosha since the shooting Tuesday, small businesses were beginning to tally up the losses.“You ain’t touching my dojo. That’s a fact,” taekwondo student Shelley Meyer said during a live-stream on Facebook as she stood guard outside her dojo.“I’m getting scared. I know I’m a military vet, but I am outnumbered here,” she said.That’s when a number of people confronted her.“They came across the street and then attacked the school,” said Meyer.She pleaded with the attackers before others stepped in.“Then another group of protesters surrounded me and built a human shield.”Today, the school is still standing.“She singlehandedly geared up and, you know, begged and pleaded in the face of people spitting and throwing stuff at her, protected our building,” said U.S. Taekwondo Academy owner Jon Kim. He says the damages are estimated in the tens of thousands.But down the block that night, another business was not so lucky.“The cars are just blowing up one by one,” Meyer said during her live stream.Like dominoes, the dealership’s cars detonated one tank at a time.Witnesses say the flames started in one car and quickly engulfed the entire lot. The owners estimate the losses in the millions.The inferno, which burned for hours, left more than 100 cars completely destroyed.For owners Sahil and Anmol Khindri, their American dream has turned into a nightmare.“We built this place up from the ground up. That office right there, as you can see, it's in ashes right now. It's done. It's gone,” said Anmol Khindri, co-owner of Car Source.Charred scraps, shattered glass and tires melted to the core are all that remain.“It's gonna cost us more money to remove this car off the lot than it's worth itself,” said Sahil Khindri.More than a week since the destruction, they’re still not sure how they will recover financially. A GoFundMe page has been set up. They’re hoping for some assistance though, it’s unclear whether their insurance will pay out at all.“We had nothing to do with it. And we were the ones who was getting penalized for this,” said Sahil Khindri.It’s a similar story up and down Kenosha’s business district.Boarded up storefronts are decorated with colorful messages of hope while masking the damage and loss.Back at the taekwondo academy, their judo coin symbol has been painted outside the boarded-up exterior.
