LOGAN HEIGHTS (KGTV) - Police are investigating a stabbing in Logan Heights that left one man injured.The stabbing happened just before 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3000 block on National Avenue near 30th Street.Police say the man was stabbed in an alley at least two times, once in the leg and once in the face.The man was transported to UCSD with non-life threatening injuries.There were no witnesses to the stabbing.Police say they are currently looking at cameras in the area to identify a suspect.Residents in the area told 10News that crime has been increasing in their neighborhood. 592

Neither daughter is now enrolled at USC.Prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum that the couple ``involved both their daughters in the fraud, directing them to pose in staged photographs for use in fake athletic profiles and instructing one daughter how to conceal the scheme from her high school counselor.''According to the memo, evidence shows that Giannulli, 57, was the more active participant. More than 50 people have been charged in the probe, which investigators dubbed operation ``Varsity Blues.'' Of 38 parents charged, 26 have pleaded guilty and received sentences ranging from the two weeks given to Huffman to a nine-month term imposed on Doug Hodge, former head of a Newport Beach-based bond management firm.Loughlin was sentenced in August along with her husband, who was handed a five-month term. LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Five people were shot at an illegal party attended by up to 200 people at a Los Angeles warehouse.The shooting was reported just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in a commercial area south of downtown LA.Police say people scattered after about 20 shots were fired. KABC-TV reported five shooting victims -- three males and two females -- were transported to hospitals and all are expected to survive. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Orange County sheriff's deputies shot and killed a Black man Wednesday after he allegedly tried to grab one of their guns during a struggle. According to an Orange County Sheriff's Department press release, two deputies from the Homeless Outreach Team made contact with the man outside the Hotel Miramar in San Clemente. "During the contact, a physical altercation occurred. Surveillance video at the scene showed that during the physical altercation, the subject attempted to gain control of a deputy’s gun," the department said in the news release. "Shortly after, a deputy-involved shooting occurred. Deputies began lifesaving measures, and the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene."The latest killing of a Black person by law enforcement happened on the same day as the decision not to charge Kentucky police officers for Breonna Taylor's death was announced. Part of the incident Wednesday afternoon in San Clemente, California, was captured on video and posted to social media by the Southern Orange County Black Lives Matter group.
