A woman in Illinois is warning others about the dangers of gel manicures claiming that the UV lamps at the nail salon gave her cancer.Karolina Jasko, 20, told WFLD that she was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer. Jasko says that her doctor said it was most likely caused by getting her nails done at the nail salon. Specifically, Jasko claims the cancer was caused by the lamp that emits UVA rays to cure gel manicures.According to an unrelated report published by the American Academy?of Dermatology, UV exposure during gel manicures should be a concern for everyone, but especially for people who are highly sensitive to UV light. Chris G. A pharmaceutical that has already issued a recall for dozens of children's medications is expanding its recall to include more than a thousand additional medications for both humans and animals.The FDA reported earlier this month that King Bio had issued a voluntary recall for about 30 children's medications for a possible microbial contamination. Now, the company is expanding the recall to include more than 1,200 medications for adults, as well as medicine used by vets and pet owners.According to the FDA, King Bio still has not yet received any reports of illness from contaminated medicine. According to the FDA, the use of the drugs could potentially result in increased infections.Customers currently in possession of affected product should discontinue its use immediately and contact King Bio by email or call the company at 866-298-2740. The company also says it is notifying distributors and customers by letter.Below is a list of the contaminated medications. ALPINE COUNTY, Calif. – One small county in California has become a safe haven from the coronavirus. There’s only been one reported case of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, but now, hundreds of visitors from across the country are going there to vacation.“I have never seen this many people here,” said Deanna Jang, the owner of the general store in the county.Business owners like Jang worry the visitors they rely on may bring more problems than profit. “It’s been very good for business, it’s scary though because you just don’t know what’s going to happen,” said Jang.Jang’s family has owned a local general store for decades. She’s nervously watching as cases rise in counties all around hers.
