SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a woman who disappeared while driving from San Diego to Victorville nearly two weeks ago. According to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, 53-year-old Izetta Burney went missing on November 24. Burney disappeared while driving home to Victorville after visiting a San Diego spa, a friend tells 10News. According to the friend, Burney’s phone goes straight to voicemail and her credit cards and bank account show no signs of activity. Burney was last seen in Victorville driving a black 2008 four-door BMW with California license plate number 7EXG207. She is described as five feet, 11 inches tall with a tattoo on her right arm and a mole above her lip. She was last seen wearing a black top and black spandex pants. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited the U.S.-Mexico border Monday for a news conference. During the conference, Sessions announced that he would be referring all illegal border crossings to the Department of Justice. Sessions said he will be implementing a "zero tolerance" policy and that any people crossing the border illegally will be prosecuted. RELATED: President Trump visits border wall prototypes?"The American people are right and just and decent to ask for this. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities confirmed Monday that a deadly shooting in Chula Vista and a second shooting at Sunset Cliffs in April are related.Police say three people, Britney Canal known as "Giggles", 29, Cesar Alvarado, known as "Capone", 39, and Michael Pedraza, known as "Monster", 27, have been charged and are being held without bail for the deadly crime spree.According to a prosecutor, the murder charges with special circumstances may lead to the death penalty. To illustrate the callous nature of the suspects, the District Attorney said the three celebrated after killing a man in Chula Vista.  627

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Construction has started on Mission Valley's first public elementary school.The new preschool through 5th-grade campus at the corner of Via Alta and Civita Boulevard will serve residents living in the Civita residential development. Families living in the Mission Valley and Fashion Valley neighborhoods will also make use of the new school.The campus will feature classrooms with roll-up doors that open to the outside for 1st- through 5th-grade students; dedicated play areas for preschool, kindergarten, and 1st- through 5th-grade students; "makerspaces" for students; and an indoor-outdoor multipurpose facility.San Deigo Unified School District provided a virtual walkthrough of the campus here."With more significant growth planned in the area, we must prepare for the influx of new families and students," said Dr. John Lee Evans, Board of Education President.
