(CNN) -- Retired NFL fullback Le'Ron McClain took to Twitter Saturday to plead for help dealing with head and brain troubles he said have resulted from playing football.In a series of emotional and expletive-filled tweets, McClain said his brain is tired and he needs to get his "head checked.""Need to tell my story of how my head is crazy and how football did it," McClain wrote. "Please someone help me get this out the @NFL puts paperwork in out (sic) faces and thats it."Reports show an increasing number of retired NFL players who have suffered repetitive hits to the head have developed memory and cognitive issues such as dementia, Alzheimer's, depression and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). (KGTV) - In her new book, Elizabeth Smart says the man who kidnapped her also tried to kidnap a girl in El Cajon by posing as Mormon and befriending the girl’s family, according to People Magazine.Smart detailed Brian David Mitchell’s alleged plan in When There’s Hope: Healing, Moving Forward, and Never Giving Up. The book includes information about Smart’s abduction in 2002, when she was 14 years old. Smart was held captive by Mitchell and Wanda Barzee for nine months.Before Smart’s kidnapping, Mitchell deliberately went to a Mormon church in East County to find a girl to victimize, Smart wrote. The entertainment giant is opening what it describes as “shop-in-shop” locations starting in October, according to Target officials. Disney’s store experience in Target will include music, interactive displays, photo ops, and a Disney movie clip screening area. 450 items will be available, including 100 products that were previously only available at Disney retail locations, Target officials say. (CNN) -- Police in Long Beach, California, are mourning a K9 officer that died apparently of heat-related causes in a department vehicle.The dog, Ozzy, was found by its handler when both were off-duty about 3:40 p.m. on August 14, the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement."This unfortunate incident was not intentional," the statement reads. "Preliminarily, we believe this was an accident and we are taking all the necessary steps to avoid this happening in the future."The department said its K9 vehicles have "fail/safe equipment that is meant to generate an alert," but it might not have been working, the statement said. The department statement said K9 handlers are checking their heat system controllers before every shift.A veterinarian examined Ozzy. "The preliminary results determined the cause of death to be heat related," the police statement said.The high temperature that day in Long Beach was 89 degrees, National Weather Service records show.Police did not identify Ozzy's handler."Our department is mourning Ozzy's loss as we would with any of our employees. Our K9's are an indispensable part of our department, and we will continue to view them as our partners."The Humane Society says it's never safe to leave pets locked in cars."It doesn't have to be that warm outside for a car to become dangerously hot inside," the organization's website says.
