There's a little bit of something for everyone.For those craving a beach getaway, there is the Four Seasons Punta Mita.“it's a beautiful destination in the Mexican Pacific,” said Miguel Peregrina, the on-site communications and marketing director at Four Seasons Punta Mita.“We were thinking what should we do because on top of all that it was long stays,” Peregrina added. “People are arriving for three weeks or longer stays.”This particular resort was the first of the of the Four Seasons to open in Latin America. After their post pandemic re-opening in early July, Peregrina said they started getting some interesting inquiries.“We are receiving a lot of requests for a study buddy, which is like a nanny with technical expertise familiar with operation in the resort that can stay with the kids while they’re doing online classes,” Peregrina said. “And we have professional tutors.”There's golf, tennis, and folklorico lessons if you're so inclined. Video appears to show a person pulled into an unmarked minivan as NYPD officers keep protesters away from the vehicle in Manhattan on Tuesday night.Protesters were near East 25th Street and Second Avenue when several arrests were made, police said. It's not clear why the arrests were made.Only one person was shown being taken into the minivan. A man in an orange shirt with "Warrant Squad" written across the back got into the front passenger seat before the minivan drove off.That woman was taken into custody because she allegedly damaged police cameras during five separate incidents in and around City Hall Park, NYPD officials said. Police said the arresting officers were assaulted with rocks & bottles.The NYPD has been using unmarked vehicles for decades, a spokesman said."The Warrant Squad uses unmarked vehicles to effectively locate wanted suspects," the NYPD tweeted.New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson called it "incredibly disturbing."Public Advocate Jumaane Williams said he was looking into it."Concerned about what we are seeing in this video," he tweeted.Lawmakers throughout the city called for answers. VISTA, Calif. (CNS) - The Vista Unified School District fully reopened its schools Tuesday morning, becoming one of the first in the region to do so, even as San Diego County appears poised to slip back toward more restrictive COVID-19 tiers as infections surge.The district, which has 29 elementary, middle and high schools, eschewed the more cautious measures some other school districts are taking, moving into its "Phase 3" reopening plan. The plan, "Vista Classic" allows every school in the district to reopen at full capacity. Parents and guardians will still be able to keep students in "Vista Virtual," the district's distance-learning program, if they so choose.The district said it will attempt to have social distancing as much as possible but will allow as many as 38 students in a single classroom, so desks will not be spaced six feet apart.ABC 10News was at Vista High School as, for the first time in more than seven months, students with backpacks were seen walking to school.Some students told ABC 10News they with had mixed reactions to coming back.One Vista High student said, “I’ve been wanting to come back because I miss going out and interacting with people.”Another student added, “I don’t want to catch the virus and spread it to my family.”A rally last Thursday by teachers and parents at Foothill Oaks Elementary School attempted to dissuade the Vista Unified School Board from reopening Tuesday, with many educators believing the safety measures inadequate.According to KPBS, plexiglass barriers were not provided to teachers. Instead, they were given PVC pipes and plastic liner to create makeshift protection from students returning to in-person learning.Keri Avila, president of the Vista Teachers Association, said on the first day back they’re already seeing issues that need to be addressed to ensure that everyone stays safe.“The problem is it’s not equitable throughout the district. What other classrooms have others don’t have. And we just want the safety for all of our members and students,” Avila said.The reopening of the Vista district comes as the county is expecting to receive bad news about its reopening status with the California Department of Public Health. Rising case numbers could tip the region into the "purple" tier, the state's most restrictive, as soon as next week. WASHINGTON — The Trump campaign says it has filed lawsuits Wednesday in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan, and will ask for a recount in Wisconsin.Democratic challenger Joe Biden is projected to win Wisconsin with a roughly 20,000 vote lead. No presidential race winner has been projected for either Pennsylvania, Michigan or Georgia at this time.The lawsuits in Michigan and Pennsylvania both demand better access for campaign observers to locations where ballots are being processed and counted, the campaign says.“In Philadelphia and elsewhere, Democrat officials forced our observers to stay 25 feet or more from the counting process, leaving no meaningful way whatsoever for our observers to do their jobs,” the statement from Justin Clark, Trump’s deputy campaign manager, reads.At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, elaborated on the campaign's legal action in Pennsylvania. "Not a single Republican has been able to observe these (absentee) ballots,” Giuliani said, adding speculatively, "Joe Biden could have been able to vote 5,000 times, we don’t know."With about 84 percent of the ballots counted in Pennsylvania, Trump leads Biden by almost 300,000 votes.The Trump campaign said Wednesday they are also seeking to intervene in a state case at the Supreme Court that deals with whether ballots received up to three days after the election can be counted, deputy campaign manager Justin Clark says.In the Michigan suit, election officials are asked to stop absent voter counting boards from counting because they are allegedly not complying with a state statute that 1 election inspector from each major political party be present during counting, according to the lawsuit.It also asks that observers be allowed to view surveillance video of ballot boxes that were in "remote and unattended" locations.In response to news of the lawsuit, demonstrators went to a building in downtown Detroit trying to get inside to challenge votes being counted. Hundreds of challengers are already inside the TCF Center, according to WXYZ in Detroit, and those outside are not being let in. The Detroit Health Department says the building is at capacity, and police are enforcing those capacity rules. Giuliani hinted the Trump campaign may bring a larger lawsuit about issues with observing ballot counting. "We're going to consider a federal lawsuit. Quite possibly we'll do a national lawsuit and reveal the corruption of the Democratic party," he said. Trump tweeted Wednesday afternoon, without supporting data, that he claimed victory in Pennsylvania, Georgia and other states. He also made unsubstantiated claims about "secretly dumped ballots."Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's office released a statement asserting the state's elections were "conducted transparently, with access provided for both political parties and the public, and using a robust system of checks and balances to ensure that all ballots are counted fairly and accurately."In Wisconsin, candidates are allowed to ask for a recount if the margin is less than 1 percent.
