Edward Peng, a naturalized US citizen living in California, is being charged with spying for China's Ministry of State Security, the Justice Department announced Monday.Peng is alleged to have couriered thousands of dollars of cash through a series of dead drops to a double agent working for the US, and to have picked up classified information provided by the agent and delivered it to China, according to a court-filed affidavit. The exchanges occurred between June 2015 and July 2018, according to the filing. The classified information, according to the more than 20-page FBI affidavit, was provided by the US government to a confidential human source who acted as a double agent. EL PASO, Texas — There's a work of art going up on a wall in El Paso, Texas. The man behind it is Manuel Oliver. He lost his son, Joaquin, in the Parkland school shooting.Sunday would've been Joaquin's 19th birthday.Oliver was already scheduled to be in El Paso, Texas, this weekend, putting a mural up at an immigrant advocacy center, when the mass shooting happened Saturday."Because it is his birthday, we always try to put together things that Joaquin would do," Oliver said. "And this is something that Joaquin will be very happy to do. Scream out his support for the immigrants."He is continuing with the mural, but hasn't said what it will be yet, only saying it will show support for the city of El Paso. People will have to just wait until it is revealed."This is the reason why we are here," the artist said. "Now, yesterday, 29 people were shot down, just like Joaquin.“It's very painful. And, um, I think ... somebody needs to do the dirty job."Murals like the one he is painting in El Paso have been Oliver's post-Parkland calling.“I'm not taking this as a new norm, " Oliver said. "I won't. I'm not accepting that my son was shot down and I should do nothing. I won’t have that as an option. Actually I’m gonna quote my beautiful son Joaquin now. F*** that."The artist also has a message for El Paso and the rest of the country."You have to stay strong. This shouldn't be a surprise for this nation, unless we do something, unless we are louder with our message, things will stay the same," Oliver said. "Let's not take this as a tradition and let's fight for our loved ones that cannot use their own voices to let politicians here them. Be strong, and we're with you." 1695

DENVER — It was a dream wedding for Kacie and Troy Sanford, two Texans who tied the knot Friday in beautiful Berthoud, Colorado. Kacie's best friend, photographer Lenzi Holmes, flew up from Fort Worth, Texas, to photograph the event, shooting countless pictures she put on SD cards inside a case reminiscent of those old CD cases you would flip open to find what you were looking for. On Saturday, Holmes and her husband checked out of the Hilton Denver City Center hotel, then drove through Boulder and into the mountains to sightsee before flying back to Texas. At Denver International Airport, Holmes realized her SD case was gone. She grabbed a cab and frantically tried to retrace her steps. "I had a severe panic attack," she said. "I went to our car rental place, I went to the last place we filled up with gas, and dug through the trash there; I went back to the hotel."The pictures were nowhere to be found, and Holmes told KMGH she could barely find the strength to call the couple and tell them the news. When she did, she was stunned by Kacie's response."I told her I loved her. I love her and who she is and I wouldn't want anyone else there on my day," Kacie said. "We have one beautiful shot that we will keep forever, and if we cherish that one, we cherish that one... and it's OK."Holmes posted a plea on social media, offering a ,000 reward for the case. Immediately, generous Coloradans offered to help. As of Tuesday morning, the Facebook post had more than 7,000 shares. "I thought Texas was nice but Colorado has upped the game," Holmes said. So far, the SD card case still hasn't been found, but Kacie says if someone can find her wedding pictures, well, that's simply an added bonus from a perfect day."What the contents are, are really priceless," Kacie said. "So if we could get it back, that would be wonderful.". 1855

CINCINNATI - Sherri Withrow calls it her "Christmas miracle.”Giving her son the gift of life.Withrow’s 17-year-old son, Marquis Davis, just received two special presents – a new heart and new kidney – at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. While Marquis will spend the holidays recovering there, his mother, who’s from Lexington, Kentucky, will be counting her blessings and living out of her car here for a while."I've got enough clothes that'll last me for three months, maybe more," Withrow said. They’re all packed into her white Kia, she said. "My car is a hotel!" she exclaimed. "I’ve got shoes, bags everywhere, but it doesn't matter."Withrow said she and son were “fighting, fighting, fighting, fighting" for a year and four months until that phone call came - and then she didn't answer it right away."Marquis was at work when I got the call. I thought it was a spam call, so I kept hanging up on them. They kept calling back," Withrow said, until she finally answered."She said, 'Are you ready? ... We have a heart and kidney for Marquis.'"The immediate joy and relief were beyond words."She was like, 'Take your time, but get him here as soon as possible.' I was still like, 'WHAT?'"Actually, mother and son have been fighting Marquis's whole life, she said.At just 5 days old, Marquis had open heart surgery. At 3 years old, he had his first heart transplant.Marquis was born with 1399
